I will admit that I am old enough to remember back in the day when the USFL was able to sign some top draft picks away from the NFL with the promises of more money and exciting changes to the game of football.

It makes me laugh at the outrage while seeing Saudi sponsors and other entities well represented in many other major international sports/events.

For a tour that's hated so much by Golf Channel, the Tour and the two bodies, they all are making sure it gets max coverage. Even Live At The Open is unwatchable now.

Lot of weird arse takes in here. Tiger is the greatest. Ask any player (under 50) on the tour and they will tell you.

Very few people in this world work without caring about the money. They may say otherwise but that’s the truth. It’s always about the money and it’s never enough. Once you make a million you are focused on making ten… and so on.
LIV won’t make it. It’s not sustainable no matter what people here want to tell you. Golf is already a niche sport. You can’t make spin-offs work in the most popular sports like football, it will never work in golf. They may be able to get 25% of golf fans interested, at best, and that’s not enough to fund the types of payouts they are talking about.
The reality is that over time the attractiveness of LIV will die down as they can’t offer the big guaranteed contracts anymore. I don’t give a frick about Saudi oil funds. The Saudis aren’t in the business of losing money and that’s what this tour will do. They wanted to make some noise by flashing their cash and they did, but that’s all they are going to accomplish.

Did tiger bash where the money came from or the competitive aspect? Sounds more like the lack of competition aspect. Even Rory doesn’t give a shite about the Saudi money.
