So many young players with picture perfect swings and serious game.
The kids are fearless and they have length , accuracy and can putt.
You almost wish that a Trevenio type guy would come along with a funky swing that can really play.

Yet I think this is the first time in a very long time that there isn’t a single major winner who is currently under the age of 30. Found the tweet:

It’s getting that way with a lot of sports including things like bass fishing. The technology, electronics, training and research is just becoming too good. The older generations either refuse to adapt or just are not as quick to commit fully.
Every high school/college aged looking kid I see at the range now is hitting with a monitor and camera.
The old guys are just pounding balls looking frustrated. I got a monitor last year. Having that level of feedback really helps you correct things if you’re working at it.

Evolution of the game. But there’s plenty of young guys out there with unorthodox swings. I worry about koivun’s back as he ages.

Gotterup is another one that’s having success with an unorthodox move, but yeah the vast majority of them do all look the same to me.

The swing will likely change over time as he accumulates injuries.
He is a gifted putter so as long as he finds a decent way to get it around, he will be fine.

Look up young Johnnie Miller swing, Kouvin very similar. Tracing back to growing up in Northern California.

Next year should be fun on the PGA tour. You can sense a changing of the guard coming.

I guess the young guys are doing this to help with distance? La Sasso does the same spine bend. Its a bit scary to watch

Completely non data backed opinion but the game still comes down to short irons and decent putting.
Watching Davis Riley blow the tournament this weekend on 3 holes where he has P-G wedge in and he couldn't put it within 30 feet of the hole.
Same thing for Bryson.
Scottie is plenty long but he separated himself in 24-25 with obscene short iron and wedge play. Would argue the same for 2 of the 4 majors this year in US Open and PGA Championship.
