Played yesterday with my son. It was my first time ever playing there. Will definitely be back.

Course was in fantastic shape. Greens are probably the best I've played around the Baton Rouge area. Soft, receptive, pristine. My son actually had a couple shots spin back on the green.

The only downside was our short game was slightly off because of typically having to account for way more roll out. Kept leaving everything way short. Probably left 4-5 strokes out there because of that and had 37 putts

Big props to the Supe and the grounds crew. My son said it was his favorite course we've played recently, and we played TPC Louisiana on Sunday.

Glad y'all had a good time. We do our best to provide a good product with what we have which is much less than most courses have around BR. We have a great group of guys in maintenance.

Probably one of my favorite course layouts around the BR area. I think it's a good design with lots of interesting holes.

I hate 2 and 9-11 but love the course other than that.

Birdied 9 last time I played! Great course. It’s fun and fits my eye.
Unlike Santa Maria which destroys me every time.

I used to hate all of them (well, nothing against 9), but have come to appreciate them. The second shot on 2 can be a little weird. 10 looks more narrow than it is. 11 is a tough hole, but if you can hit a fade off the tee at the fairway bunker, you're good.

Honestly I have come to hit hybrid or 5i off the tee on all four of those holes. If I can get through that stretch in +2 or under I have a good round.

Just a heads up.. Played today, greens got punched earlier this week so we went with the horseshoes and hand grenades rules. Other than that the course is immaculate..

I always play 2 well for some reason. Def the best kept course around. Wish it was 15 mins closer

Those holes are tough. Can't miss right at all which kills me.

It's been good lately. It drains really well also. Santa Maria and The Island are the only two courses in area that are a test. I do well at both now.

Every other course is just hit it as far as you can and wedge it in.

Greens were aerated on the 28th and 29th, probably will be good to go by next weekend, but they are discounting green fees until then.

One of my worst memories was a couple years back in TN when i played and they didnt tell us greens were aerified CHARGED US FULL PRICE and it was TERRRRRIIIBBBBLLEE!!!!

love the island so much, cant wait till it's back in great shape.
