What’s your go to move when you are stuck on a tee box behind slow players who need to spend another few months at the range?

We all do the hand on hip move, right?

I drive up to them and tell them "hey, we're going to play through"

I'm sure I struck that pose a few times yesterday. It was cart path only and the idiots in front of us would walk across the fairway with no clubs to shot the yardage then walk back to get a club. Thankfully they went to the bar at the turn and we went by.

Cart path only seems to make people forget how to think. Get a rough yardage from the cart, grab 2 or 3 clubs and go to your ball.

Cart path only it would be faster and actually less walking to walk and pushcart.

Depends on the course. Some places have a significant distance between holes.

Yes, and the other hand stretched out leaning on the driver. Legs crossed of course.

Start tapping on some metal with a wedge, when each of them is about to hit the ball, only when they’re about to hit it.

It’s best when they’re still teeing off on a par 3 with some water. I’ve helped players rinse a few balls. For some reason they think me playing through is a fantastic idea about then.

Was behind a foursome of non players. They were actually fine and let me pass after three.
But they were doing one of my biggest pet peaves: two guys walk to ball. To discuss the shot together? Killing me.

It would be but they don't allow it until after 3 I believe.

The log carry. When I need to put a little sauce on it, I add a little left to right on it.

Ride up just close enough to them to not be on top but close enough for them to hear my Bluetooth and turn a certain little diddy from Ludacris on and they get the point.. A little unorthodox I know..

2-3 times this year, I’ve witnessed this almost turn into a fight. The slow players “we paid our green fee too! Mind your own fricking business and go play your ball.”

South La never disappoints!

While we’re at it, what’s with the massive uptick of guys playing scrambles? Not a scramble tournament, but green fee players just playing 2 man scrambles.

I see this a lot too. It causes them to play too fast and wait on whoever is in front of them.

I've seen this is a few times but it looked to me like one guy showing his buddy how to play and they did this to keep it moving

That has not been my experience. These guys suck and/or first time in a course. Guys are giving “lessons” can’t hit the ball. It’s miserable.

This weekend, 2 goofballs were legit upset that the course makes each player have his own bag. They couldn’t believe it.
So one guy without clubs says, “I’ll just ride along and drink beer.” He lost his mind when they charged him for a cart fee.

it's worth the risk. i'm always polite. and i wait until the group is at least a hole behind the next group.

some people just don't know proper etiquette.

some are just assholes.

I was behind a 4 person scramble over the weekend. But in fairness they didn't drop more than a hole behind the group in front and if I played thru I would be waiting anyway. The wait gave me time to think about how I messed up the last hole and move on to the current one.
