The older i get the more I’m in pain after a round of golf. I believe a lot of this is attributed to me arriving at the course 30 min before a round, immediately go to range to hit balls and then head to course to play. I know there should be some stretching involved somewhere in there but there’s not.

What kind of stretches do y’all do that you have success with in loosening up before a round?

Touch me toes for about 2 seconds, a couple of shoulder dislocates, pop my back, and 12 Oz curls

I do this and some foam rolling. Back pain is practically nonexistent after golf now. If I have an early morning round I'll walk around the block to help warm up before the stretching.

stand up and cross my legs. bend down towards the ground to stretch out my hamstrings.

Then I use the cart seat to stretch our my hip flexors.

Then I stretch lower back. Takes all of 2-3 minutes and I dont have an issue. The hard part is being warm enough to stretch. It's bad to stretch cold muscles so I do a lot of walking around the range tee box area before hand.

Start doing yoga at least 2 times per week. Do a short yoga session before you leave home. You can do a few stretches you like from your yoga at the corse.

I have found that the handle on the canopy of the golf cart is good to use for stretching the shoulders and the back (make sure parking brake is on). For the legs, just do a few squats and you’re good to go.

Man I bought a weighted club years back and swing it 10 to 20 times a day. I give it a good 20 to 30 swings before I play and it seems to help. Sometimes when I have to use a golf cart, I bring it with me just to stay loose at the end of a round. I am 47. Seems to work.

Bend 1/4 of the way at the hips to lean over the bar while waiting for my front nine drinks.

YouTube Colin Westerman, 15 minute stretching program for golf. Really good and has helped me a lot. Nothing too complex.

Anelgesic stick ons are great in lower back for me. I also swing three clubs first off to help get me loose.

Get a orange whip for swings and stretch the hammies. Takes 5 minutes to stretch.

I take 2 Aleves before every round now. I also stretch my back. I have been playing more and that actually helps.

Stretch my back, shoulders, and hammies before and a little during the round.

Early morning golf is tough on me. I can be pretty stiff in the morning. I like to have a tee time around 10 so Ive been up moving around, and my body is more loose.
