I just can’t compress my irons with any consistency. When I do, I can hit my 7 iron damn near 180. Problem is when I try to do that, I’m inconsistent as absolute hell. I at least have some consistency when I flip at it like you say hitting on straight

Problem is I just don’t have enough time playing golf to own an iron swing. Driver felt easy to learn as it is just being athletic on the swing and going after it

What shaft are you using? May need to tip your shaft a little or get an upgraded shaft to tip stiff it. That’s too high on the apex. Need to bring it down to 125-130 max.

I’d find a local fitting day and hit the Velocore Ventus or Tour AD.

1.48 smash factor

What are you trying to fix lol

Does your simulator have optimizer function like trackman?

1.48 was my best I think. Most were 1.44 or so

It’s just something I’m wondering if it’s a “free” easy fix. Like as simple as going down 2 degrees will mean 15 more yards without having to change a single thing or practice more. I have no clue how all that works

No clue about optimizer etc.

I’d go down to 9°. That is a crazy launch angle. You’ll also lower that spin rate down a bit by doing so.

I am not knowledgeable enough to help but on trackman they have optimizer. Basically tells you how maximize shot.

I would take those driver shots lol

Reducing the loft can open the face a little (if I remember correctly) so there may be another adjustment to make.

Do it and and post the new numbers.

Here’s a question. How long are your tees?

If you’re teeing it high, you’re going to have a higher launch angle because you’re getting it on the upswing instead of at least semi level. If you are I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s affecting your irons because of your strike on the ball.

That being said, you don’t need more distance, that’s not your problem.

Post up your 5 and 8 iron numbers. Those will probably tell the tale.

Played city park the other day and just bombed away everywhere and jt was awesome. And when I say mid irons I mean 7 iron and below. I just hit them so bad For example my average carry for my 7 iron is 145-150

I’m the opposite of you. My best drives are like 260 carry but I’m hitting 170ish with solid accuracy on an 8 iron.

Don’t trust that monitor. 300 carry with 113 swing speed and 17° angle and 2300 rpm doesn’t work.
Put into a calculator swing speed of 113.8 , ball speed 169, with 2300 spin rate and 17 launch angle says 290-300

Those spin numbers are optimal. I wouldn’t change a thing if you are already accurate.

If go down in loft you’ll start getting those low knuckleballs that hook way OB. Sure every now and then, you’ll get the 1600rpm straight ball that carries 320, but your dispersion is gonna suffer.

Are you fitted for your irons? You should carry a 7-iron 170-180 with that swing speed.

That launch angle is a shaft issue and not a loft issue IMO.

I’ve only been really playing golf 2 years. I got “fitted” 1 year into it. Really don’t want to spend the money again They fitted me in zx4/5 mixed bad with gold shafts.

I really think it’s me on the irons the way I swing.

As shitty as it is, your iron shafts probably aren’t stiff enough. Your launch is probably too high and too spinny with your irons. You may have a mid iron equipment issue more than a driver issue. I wouldn’t change anything with that driver.

To show how ridiculous the launch can be, here is a 3 wood

In my mind I would love to get the ball on the ground a little quicker. Less chance for bad shite to happen.

I wouldn't change a thing. Optimizing your carry distance is what you should be trying to do. Your launch angle is high, but the spin numbers are damn near perfect. Once you decrease driver loft, you'll bring down those spin numbers and start getting into snap hook territory.

If you were playing somewhere really windy I might look at adjusting, but not in south Louisiana. You'll be happy with that carry once we finally get rain and the courses are soggy.

How the frick is that possible with 112mph driver swing speed.
