Professional weekend golf thread (4/3-4/7)

ANWA, LIV Doral, PGA @ TPC San Antonio, and the LPGA Shadow Creek Match Play.
Should be a pretty good weekend to golf overall. I’m intrigued to see how Rory and Brooks play the week before the Masters.

Conditions look to be way tougher at the ANWA so far today. LSU's Linblad is +4 thru 7 holes after a great round yesterday.
LPGA Match Play is an interesting format where they're playing stroke play, cutting it down to 36 people, then cutting it down to 8 for actual match play so you're more likely to get the best players in the final 8.

Don’t think we’ll see another charge from Crusher GC on the final day of team competition. Charles Howell can’t seem to shoot under par this weekend & they're currently 6 back of 3rd place at -7.

It’s not a failure bc he still has 7 tournaments to play in.
Yeah his 81 was bad yesterday, but he’s still an intriguing player for LIV Golf. He may never finish in the top 24 in a tournament, but it would be a huge win if he could put together 3 good rounds one weekend.
After his interview this week, I think he might’ve just taken the deal with LIV because he’s filming his own documentary.

Yea McCarthy is going off.
Not to start a LIV/ PGA debate in here, but this is the kind of drama the PGA tournament structure produces. You wouldn’t have this with a shotgun start.
