Typically play Arizona (Scottsdale and Tucson) and Alabama (RTJ and Pursell). I’m looking for somewhere random to go and figure there are some hidden, random places to golf.

I’ve heard Boise is good. Heard Michigan and New England states have good golf but anything in particular? Does anyone love New Hampshire or somewhere else random?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if it qualifies as underrated, but it’s Wisconsin for me.

I’ve done Whistling previously. Love the state, but what area specifically does it for you?

Oregon and Nebraska - what regions for each? Like Oregon coast or the forest inland area? And are you saying Oregon because of Bandon or is the state just overflowing with good courses?

Oregon – NOT underrated, but still great.
• Bandon Dunes (5 top 100 courses + short course and putting course)
• Pronghorn (Nicklaus and Fazio courses)
• Pumpkin Ridge
• Waverley (Portland)
• Silvies Valley Ranch

Between the 5 courses at Bandon and then add Pronghorn and Pumpkin Ridge, you have a fantastic area of golf.

Sunday River G.C. (I loved this course)
The Links at Outlook
Ledges Golf Club
Cape Arundel G.C
Sugarloaf G.C
Belgrade Lakes G.C
Samoset Resort Golf

I thought Sunday River was spectacular

Bend, Oregon or Hurricane/St. George, Utah

Boise is great if you live there. I wouldn't call it a destination golf town.

Not sure I'd consider Michigan underrated at this point, but it's comfortably within the top 10 states with the best publicly-accessible golf.

Just watch out for the mosquitoes in the summers. You've never experienced mosquitoes until you play golf in northern Michigan before 10 AM in the summer.

Wyoming. The Jackson area alone has multiple primo courses. I was blown away.

I'll throw in Sun Valley since that's a similar landscape and town.

Crossville area has some great courses.
The Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain was very good.
