Mayacama in Santa Rosa CA. Mayacama is a residential development built on the old Charles Schulz (Peanuts) estate. I think the course sees some ridiculously low number of rounds a day, like thirty, or did back then. Just happened to be friends with a guy who used a prime broker who lived in the development and got us on. Stunning course, immaculately maintained. I think we saw two other groups during our round. Played like arse and shot 94 with seven double bogies.

Absolute travesty we’ll never see it come to fruition.

Too many to count. One I haven’t played is Pine Valley.
Another one I played that is now open to more people is White Oak Plantation in Yulee, FL. Only 9 holes and used to be owned by Sid Gilman who owned the paper plant in Kingsland GA. When he owned it there were exotic animals all over the property (elephants, giraffes, etc) wandering free. Pretty cool experience. Also played Ford Plantation outside Savannah before it was opened up as well.

Played SF Club a few times when I was out there. The driveway is just a turn off the highway. Nothing labeled. Clubhouse was OLD…..ancient looking. No tee signs, tee markers, ball washers….nothing…..just grass and a flag stick. Without a caddie, you don’t know where to go.
But unbelievably gorgeous!

Valhalla back in the early 90's when I was up there for a baseball tourney. The ladies golf coach at the university hooked us up with a tee time. Very nice but was difficult.

Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas. Hosted an LPGA event for years, not sure if they still do. Had a college friend who lived there and was a member and invited me out once. I also played in a charity tournament there and met Fuzzy Zoeller - he was cool and approachable. They have the most difficult rough I have ever played. Fescue cut no closer than 3-4". They are proud of it too - they instruct carts to stay in the fairway rather than drive through any part of that rough.

Impressed there are multiple people that have played Cypress on this board. I think they average like 30 rounds a day.
In terms of pure exclusivity:
Brentwood Country Club
Waverley in Portland, OR- Probably my favorite course anywhere. One of the oldest courses west of the Mississippi

Yeah I have been lucky enough to be close friends with multiple members so I've played dozens of rounds there. Just a beautiful old course and old school club house. Not many clubs you can arrive to by boat.
