“ Lol. There is no such thing as a masterpiece in the GNO golf world. But, yes it’s being blown up cause it became an absolute dump. Hope they get it back to being desirable again.”

This is my comment about the Reno. How did y’all come to your conclusion of thinking i said the Reno sucks?

Like i said, no i really don’t know much about it. I said that numerous times. I was told a while back but only real thing i remember is the part about leveling the greens. They were having issues with the elevated greens for a while.

Cypress Lakes would be nice if they would put some money into it.

I understand the comment but I live close so I have been playing for years there. If you have played there regularly for the past few years you know the improvements that have been made and the money that has gone into the course and the new equipment purchased to take care of it. That being said, their money flow is not comparable to those clubs in the city. Basically they are doing the best with what they have but the course has come a very long way from what it use to be and clearly still has room for improvement. The key is though that the investors who have it now have a very good plan to keep it heading the right way and are doing alot of good things.

The OP was asking about clubs to join in the Metairie area and I just thought I'd offer up the suggestion of CL considering it's not that far away and for just over $200 a month (no other charges when you play) for all amenities of the club it is worth a look. I'd highly suggest going play the course before joining but for the price and what comes with it I think it is a great deal. Before I get any darts tossed at me saying how the greens are whatever, sand traps are blah, or fairways are not comparable...I'm just saying it's an option to consider but definitely not a City Park South, TPC, etc.... Just trying to be helpful!

Like to hit range balls, chip and putt once a week

Then you won’t like MCC. Driving range prereno is limited range. You can smash balls over the fence but you won’t get much out of it. The chipping green behind 12 green has and always will be a waste of space. I’ve said for years to move 13 tee box to that green. Putting green is magnificent. Massive area to work on all sorts of putts.

Practice is TPC
Play/convenience MCC

............NOCC if you know the right people.

What’s your budget is the better question...
