Remember when Jeff said we would see hundreds of millions in economic impact?

To be fair...if the event would've happened, then that's what the numbers would show. A quick Google search of the local economic impact shows that.

No it doesn’t. Best estimate is LIV Adelaide, their best ever event, had an impact of 88 million

LIv Louisiana would not see anywhere close to 100 million

Serious question

There's something wrong with him. It's something he can't recognize and correct. Best thing to do is ignore him. For all we know, he's posting from an institution.

Do you have a link? I am not saying your are wrong, but Gemini gave the economic impact of the UK, Indy, and Adelaide events and they were all less than 80 million. I am never sure if I trust AI thoigh

ETA: I found something. $69.8 USD for Adelaide.

Sure, no problem.

From a direct dollars standpoint - I agree with those that don't see it being over $100M, but once you add in the total impact, including media, then there's certainly the potential for a solid return.

Or, well...there WAS the potential.

RIP, LIV...

How does “media”(which there isn’t any of any significance for LIV), have an impact on the economy for Nola?

The Zurich, which gets over 100k in fans and has been long standing here in Nola on the pga tour, generates roughly 60 million a year in economic impact.

But you and Jeff want us to beleive LIv is going to do better? It’s ridiculous man

I guess reading isn't your strongest area?

My guy, do you just take a contrarian view for shits and grins?

I mean, for pure entertainment value, I love having you here.

But, sometimes...I wonder if you wear slip on shoes.

Dude you are crazy here

Look at the Zurich. How in the blue fricks if bluest fricks do you think liv would outperform that? It’s inanity to suggest it would even come close

And from your link

quote:

Hamilton County Sports Authority estimates there was $23.6 million in direct local economic activity generated by LIV Golf Indianapolis. These figures include:

So where the frick is your multiple of nearly 5 coming from? Your own link agrees with me . Who exactly is the contrarian?

You are crazy here!

Buddy, I'M not saying it - I'm just posting what LIV is stating.

My main point is that it's hard to shite on what Landry said due to the fact that the event never took place.
