I mean this will get downvoted because it is what it is, but what went “great” about it? I self admittedly only watched about 45 minutes Thursday, but it looked like regular golf just with more no name people. No commercials was nice, but if it ever goes network tv then that obviously would change

Why do all of the players have those logos near their names on the scoreboard...it looks terrible

It might not change. There’s enough $ in the SA fund that they might not need it.
Curtis Cup had no commercials today too which was a delight. From what I watched there were definitely some good things about, especially with it being the first ever event. Yes, there were some things that they’ll need to work on as well.
It just kind of sucks to me where the money is coming from, and the fact that it’s going to make golf fields even weaker. Like, I’m fine with these guys going to do what they feel is best for them and their families, but it doesn’t mean I have to love it from my own golf watching perspective.

The purse sizes made the last few holes really fun to watch. Several 6 figure + putts. It made watching someone battling to finish 3rd or 4th fun.

Agreed. There are 12 teams of 4 playing for a side pot as a team. Those logos are the team. They need to fix the banner on the left and get last names and eliminate the team always being on it.

I’m probably weird. I enjoyed Grace losing the equivalent of a pretty good annual salary when Uiehlein made a 15 footer on 18.
