I know you are trying your best to make it look bad, but wouldn't that also mean we are looking at 4 years minimum of the tour?

Think of the minimum guaranteed money playing for 4 years.

What was Phil making annually in sponsorship?

What was DJ making annually in sponsorship?

Now, what did they lose by joining LIV?

You have to subtract that from their 50 million and 30 million to find out what they actually “gained”. It isn’t some gotcha statement.

So now you are saying they are not leaving for the money. Hard to keep up.

I think they definitely made a ton of $ from this.

Um, no. They cancelled some of the spin off football leagues mid season. This thing can end at anytime, or continue on forever

The contract length means nothing in terms of that

What would your guess be on what Phil made annually from Calloway, workday, KPMG, and his other sponsors?

Plus Dustin Johnson can win one of these events and make like $5 million+ in one weekend. He's still got some good golf left in him, theoretically.

It's time for you to face it, the PGA Tour will not be the same from this point forward.

This is from a Forbes report

quote:

They have high disposable incomes and are ready to spend on cars, watches, financial services and equipment. Mickelson was a corporate darling, earning $40 million a year from sponsors, like Callaway, Rolex, Intrepid Financial and more

He is associated with Heineken, Amgen, Callaway, Ford, Rolex, and Intrepid Financial Partners. He has also appeared in multiple commercials, but his most famous one is when he danced in a Mizzen and Main commercial. Mickelson earns around $40 to $50 million a year just from endorsements.

So Phil will probably make a little bit of money in these 4 years.

DJ will probably make a good bit more money.

I understand. I’m just pointing out the guaranteed income part of it got slashed when you take in the moss of sponsorship money, especially for a guy like Phil who was pulling in a lot

Now, I’m sure he will soon pickup some other sponsors. It’s just a point to be made, crimsonian can change his tampon now

Phil planned on having both at first, then. He kind of had no choice, but he should still be a net positive in terms of $.

DJ should be way more, and as he said, he likes not having to play a lot.

In terms of the actual playing of golf interest this weekend, LIV is probably 3rd for me.

Did I hear it correct that the European Tour is giving points to the top 24? Or is that for something else?

Schwartzel played really well. $4.5 million for three days isn't a bad days work.

Yep. Grace makes 1.5MM in third. Plus a cut of the team. Haha.

ETA. Haha. As I type this Uihlein ties him and takes 250k from him. Awesome.
