Have you ever worked in management at a clubcorp facility? I have. I have seen money taken from a profitable club to give another lower club green and bunker renovations. That’s just 2 of about 10 things I seen in my 4 years.

The only way the course receives money is if they end up seeing a mass exodus with no new members coming in, i.e., Los Colinas CC in Dallas.

This isn’t true at all. In fact the year before I was at the club I worked for they had a huge drop in membership and still received money for a bunker renovation.

Yeah, that's the point. Las Colinas got a bunch of renovations to the course right after they had the huge exit. They don't put the money into the course until people leave and they lose the steady income. It's a desperate attempt to get members back.

Lord have mercy, no. But I've played quite a few club Corp courses and every time they're in terrible shape. Hell ST has common Bermuda fairways and that place used to be nice.

I'm sure the profitable club loved that.
