They way lexi is playing makes her year on the lpga, and more so her whole career, more maddening. She is a mental midget and it’s a shame. She should have so many victories

She’s been playing better since the Solheim Cup, when originally it was unsure if she was deserving of a pick.
But I think it’s similar to Michelle Wie where distance was never really an issue. They just can’t putt and wedges aren’t as dialed comparatively which makes it hard to win golf tournaments. I know I love mentioning this, but Michelle Wie missed a PGA Tour cut by 1 at 14 years old and only won 3-4 times on the LPGA.
You’d know better than me on this, but I had a tennis coach who always said you had to learn to win at the level you’re playing at, before playing up age division wise. Because when those tough deuce, tiebreak points, etc. hit, you have to know how to win.

If you are a mentally weak person, your coach was 100% correct. It’s easy mentally to play well in a match you know you likely can’t win. It’s freeing. When you are supposed to win, it’s pressure. Some people can’t handle that. Lexi is clearly one of those. It’s just wild to me. I was more so the opposite. “Figuring” out how to win was my strongest attribute. I can win matches and look like shite

She's on fire today. -4 through 12. Pretty impressive no matter the final outcome.

This is a great performance for Lexi, and kinda unreal embarrassing for the guys in this tournament
This isn’t prime Anika. I can’t wrap my head around a woman outside the top 100 on the season points list doing this

Damnit Lexi
100% from 4-8 feet. Misses a 5 footer on the last hole which would have out her inside the cut line

Think the cut’s going to get to -2. For her sake I hope it does cuz otherwise that would be infuriating. Kind of sums up her career in majors tbh.
Great performance though.

-1 is dead. -3 is the leader to be the cut at 70% while -2 is 30%.

:huh? I admitted I was dead wrong. Yes she missed the weakest field cut by 3, but she 100% outperformed my expectations based on her current season.
People on this board could learn alot from my humility. A simple “liv sucks and nobody watches” is just as easy to say as “Lexi played better than I thought she would”
