Is it strange that I’m excited to play city park BR 7am Friday?

I enjoy City Park BREC. Don’t like the new #5. It just doesn’t match.

6 is my favorite.

I really enjoy the course. It's a fun walk, rarely crowded and it's in playable shape.

I don't love 5, I agree. It feels out of place because the green is huge and doesn't seem to fit. But the shot is fun. It it had a green similar to the others, it'd be great.

I have to think about that hole. I remember one hole that the telephone lines near the rr track could always mess up a ball flight.

Nah it's fun. Offers elevation change and it's a nice walk. They actually have grass in the fairway of 2 and 3 now. The greens aren't great but what do you expect when you pay $7 to walk.

Not at all. I get excited before every round I play. You never know when your all time low round is going to happen.

I know my all time low will happen my next round. Just like the free beer tomorrow sign.

We played with 5i, PW, putter once. It was fun.

Way back when BREC had a two club tourney at City. Pick any two clubs and play. Low score wins.

This was way back, before the redesign.

6i and 60*. Bet I could probably navigate 9 holes in bogey golf. I miss half of those greens anyway with 14 clubs.

No need for a 60* at City Park

Bump and run all day on those greens

It would be my club for inside of 80. I'd rather putt with 60* than 56*.

I was coming to check the same thing. I played Dumas today with the wife (no pics). The fairways are like concrete, the greens were actually nice. Shot a personal best 85.

It’s a fun course. I know whenever I am in Red Stick, I will make sure to play a round at city park.

Greens were impressive. Fairways were nice. It was a pleasant walk for 18 holes.
Shot 39/35. Not the best - but it was a pleasant morning walk.

I just looked at it on the grint GPS. Its amazing how much it has changed from the last time I played it in the late 90s.
