Golf Twitter is currently freaking out about him removing “PGA TOUR” from his Twitter bio.

He’s a pretty good troll but also the ideal player for LIV.

He is still listed on the pga tour’s website.

I do know that there was an emergency meeting called by the tours’ players board for tomorrow morning. So who knows

Homa is actually trolling all over Twitter right now. Brooks, who knows.

Two announcements supposed to come tomorrow and they'll continue to roll out all week, supposedly

Could be?? Or maybe they gone.

The tour will announce a tomorrow a new series of events that will be played for purses larger than those that LIV currently offers. Of course, the tour will not pay huge signing bonus’.

Pretty crazy to see this arms race start between the two tours but man, what a time to be a player

Where are you getting that info?

Homa

If so, he’d be the first one I’d legitimately be upset about leaving.

I do believe Homa is simply trolling. He’s making cuts on the PGA and doesn’t seem like a target for LIV.

I think Koepka is gone. Who else are they gonna announce? Adam Scott?

Saw this tweet and thought it was perfect:

Who cares? He doesn’t play in a ton of non major events and he rarely contends in the ones he does.

He’ll likely be remembered as the most random, uninspiring four-time major champ ever.

Koepka would be the least surprising name to jump.

I’ve also seen Cam Smith, Hovland, and Morikawa mentioned.

Out of those, Morikawa would surprise me the most. He’s a virtue signaler who went to Cal-Berkeley, I can’t imagine he’d go for LIV.

He’s got some top 5s in majors as well.

If he gets to 6 or 8 majors with a grand slam, going to be hard to just consider him Ernie Els, John Daly, Zach Johnson level.

In 2022, winning a major is harder than ever. Winning a handful would be significant.

I think this should be great for golf. If the majors stay open and committed to having any player that is qualified play then it can get real interesting. They would become a battle of LIV vs PGA in a way and could drive even more views. A Monday night war so to speak wouldn’t be the worst for the game.

I’ll go ahead and say until the younger crop has one move to LIV I’d expect most major dominance to be pga.

However if the majors stay open you could see some interesting things happen.

Kawa is said to be gone. That’s the first one that stings. Pgatour had a chance to send a message to players leaving, they didn’t. Now they will have to find a way to coexist.

Depends what motivates these guys. They are getting paid 10s of millions to play in exhibitions for 3 rounds. Not much motivation to win.

They can be driven by both plus the majors are nice purses. I could easily want LIV money and then the actual prestige of winning a major. I’d also guess most of these guys are hyper competitive so no one wants to play like shite

These guys are paid millions by sponsors to be put on tv so they need to play well to be on TV. They showed 0 DJ shots over the week. He doesn’t care.

I wouldn’t be particularly surprised by any Aussie joining LIV.

Morikawa joining LIV would open the flood gates IMO. He’s one of the first guys I’d expect to be steadfast with the PGA. The likes of Schauffele, Cantlay, or Finau probably wouldn’t be far behind.
