Just getting back into game, I dialed in my iron distances:
4 200
5 190
6 180
7 170
8 160
9 150
P 140
Interested to know what y’all’s are

3i - 225
4i - 210
5i - 200
6i - 188
7i - 175
8i - 165
9i - 155
PW - 145
54° - 125
60° - 105
My 54° is probably closer to 120. I’m about to put a 50° back in play that better covers that gap and would be my 130 club (just picked up 50/54/60 Raw Jaws ). But I’m not sure which club to pull. I may actually go with my 4i since I like to use a stinger 3i as my fairway finder off the the tee on shorter par 4s. And it would also depend on the course I play. I don’t use 3W hardly at all at my home course but used it a ton at the State Am as long as it played.

Subtract 15 from each of yours. Getting old sucks.

My 7 iron is 140 or so.
I’m about 10 yards per club or so.
Driver 225+\- 25 (I hit one 260 yesterday!).
I’m not a big hitter.

A lot of bombers in here.
I guess I need to move up a tee.

I play Ap1’s. The 7 is essentially a 6 in traditional clubs. Doesn’t matter what tees I play from, I’m still gonna bogey. “

I did this, turning 60 soon and have lost distance and flexibility with age. If the tees are more than 6600 yds, I’ll move up one. Makes it more enjoyable. At LaTour yesterday I played a mix of the blue and silver tees, played around 6400 that way.

I played the white tees at LaTour last week and it kept me on my toes. I think it’s 6100 from the whites? Maybe 6. But it was the first time I played it. Great course.

It’s right st 6100, I played those but used the blues on all of the par3’s, 2,10,15,16. Love the layout.

So I played 5 rounds from last Saturday to this Friday. I moved up a tee for one round. Shot same score proving I can 3 putt from anywhere.
Our whites are 6400. There is one par 4 that I cannot reach under any circumstance.
The next tee is 6200. It’s comfortable.
The next is 5950. It’s too short. I can use non-driver off several tees. Thing is I don’t score but about 2 shot better up there. I actually tracked it on GHIN. I average 87 from white and 85 from gold. I have to give up two strokes if I play up according to the calculation so I just play the whites unless I’m with older friends who play up routinely.

I played Carter Plantation in college. Started at 3:00 in the afternoon and played by myself. Played 36 holes before dark and played the front 4 times. I played the tips, mens, seniors, and ladies tees.
I think I went 41-40-40-38 or something along those lines. It's nice to have a shorter club in on par 3s, but moving up a tee brings in a lot of trouble on some holes and makes them harder the further up you go.

I can reach the Some of the boundaries and some hazards when I move forward, but if I hit the fairway, it gives me a short iron or wedge as opposed to a hybrid or fairway wood as a second shot.

I got the annual pass at bayou oaks and played the south course at least 2x a week. I started at the whites and once my handicap and everything got consistent enough I moved back to the blues. Once I played the blues for about 7 months exclusively I got so used to playing from those tees the one time I played whites with an older friend my score was 4 strokes worse because it’s just a different strategy.
