The Golf Channel reported - again - today that Justin Thomas said a “homophobic slur” and that Ralph Lauren dropped him as as sponsor.

Damn - the kid immediately apologized and TGC still won’t let up and on him.

Stop watching them. There’s plenty of context online to not need those losers.

They employ Brandel Chamblee FFS. Turn them off.

His first problem was apologizing. He should have let them protest and tell him to apologize. When you say your sorry on your own, they still have to have their pound of flesh.

Personally I don’t give a shite either way. He will be better off long run since I doubt RL pays him much anyway. Problem is that he isn’t really a marketable guy but there aren’t many on tour these days.

Is sponsorship required to do well on tour

Is prize money off or is endorsement revenue driver

It was Ralph Lauren’s right to drop JT if they chose to, but it was a dick move to announce to the media that they dropped him. That should have been handled quietly between the parties instead of trying to get free publicity out of it and try to make the left feel good about RL. I will not allow another RL product in my house.

Ive been buying other brands trying to find a replacement for a 2 or 3 button polo shirt that fits right. Everything else is covered already in terms of not buying them. This doesn't have anything to do with me fading away, their quality has dwindled a good bit while cost has gone up for awhile. Now there are just tons of other options out there.

Well they’re an NBC channel, what would you expect?

It was 100% virtue signaling, especially given RL’s standing in the fashion community. Notice how none of his other sponsors dropped him (that I’m aware of)

PRL makes all their clothes in Egypt and Bangladesh- two places where being gay is a crime punishable by death.

So frick them and their hypocrisy. JT will get a better clothing deal out of it with someone like Peter Millar.

Well to be honest most major networks threw down on Tiger's demise when he got caught screwing around on his wife and mentioned every sponsor he lost. So no one is safe.
