Those definitely aren’t growing the game
Nothing makes you feel poor like going to a nice marina and realizing that some of those boats cost more than you and most of your friends houses combined lol

Not to hijack the thread, but I learned this weekend that Parker Brandt moved to Florida. That sucks.
He did but I took a chance with Nathan J and he was great. Very nice guy also. I’ll continue lessons with him.

How many people can truly afford that?
Not many but that's the whole point. There's probably a section of people that are just so rich that a million dollar check isn't a big deal... but there's likely another segment of people that put up the million so they can bring clients and business partners for a mind blowing round of golf in luxury.

Membership at Apogee is not a 1Million dollars its $ 500,000 and monthly dues are $ 3000 ... 18 holes now....54 hole complex when complete in 2 yrs...Villas for members to stay while on properly says that most of the members are from Northeast who go down during winter months.

A barrel chested guy needs a different plan than a flatbelly
Exactly, so much instruction is geared towards one swing that works for one body type/flexibility level.
You ain't swinging like Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas etc because your body won't allow it. Notice they're mostly all flat chested.
Take a look at Mike Adams old online material covering different swings for your body type/flexibility.
So many golfers would be better off just flattening their swing.
If you do not have a wing span longer than your height, a flat chest and very flexible shoulders, your hands being high in the back swing is hurting your game.

If
Your teacher is any good you should see a big change that day.
I teach at cog hill in Chicago and I typically see slicers leave hitting draws. It took 20 years to learn to teach like that though

Weren’t you in Louisiana teaching this Winter?

Immediately. I went from having a huge slice, then a hook, then a draw. What had killed me since I've started playing was gone in about 20 minutes with 2 very small corrections. The only difference i made in practice was going through a quick pre-shot routine before every shot to focus on the same 2 keys that were shown to me at the lesson. I don't think I've ever kept score through an entire round the past 10 years, but I'd be comfortable saying i had never broken 100. Took 3 or 4 lessons and within a month or two consistently shooting mid 80's. It's crazy how much effort most of us will put into a bad golf swing.

I think 4 lessons with some practice time, like a bucket or 2, in between should really show improvement. I'm on #5 and shot consistency is much improved. Short game the next big piece.

It took you 20 years to teach someone to hook a ball?
