we tried a couple shaft/head combos but i actually hit the stock shaft the best. no pressure to buy or brand bias from my experience with him
André @ Pelican Point. James Leitz went over a few things with me during a fitting and id like to take a series of lessons with him eventually as well
I was in the same boat a few years ago, and shooting in the mid 90's as well. I ended up taking a few lessons instead. 4 and 5 irons are probably my favorite clubs to hit now. I had never broke 90 before lessons. I’ve broke 80 a couple times now. obviously, i'd recommend going to a pro a getting a lesson or two before any big purchases. I surprised myself how much effort i was putting into playing bad golf. and i agree you might need another wedge in there. Good luck man

Just had a driver fitting with James Leitz @ Tchefuncta Country Club, definitely recommend. I'll be going back to get fit for the rest of the bag. Heard a lot of good stuff about Bebu as well.
Immediately. I went from having a huge slice, then a hook, then a draw. What had killed me since I've started playing was gone in about 20 minutes with 2 very small corrections. The only difference i made in practice was going through a quick pre-shot routine before every shot to focus on the same 2 keys that were shown to me at the lesson. I don't think I've ever kept score through an entire round the past 10 years, but I'd be comfortable saying i had never broken 100. Took 3 or 4 lessons and within a month or two consistently shooting mid 80's. It's crazy how much effort most of us will put into a bad golf swing.
Gunter's brother and I were in the same platoon in the Marines together for 2 years and we still talk regularly. I didn't ask, but he also never mentioned any plans on Rye transferring or being forced out. Just talked about how much better and confident he is now compared to his first appearance. He's a pretty even-keeled kid who understands his role, and he's excited to stay and continue getting better. We all know things can happen and decisions have to be made with the roster, but he's excited to play for LSU and working towards his degree.
