If anyone wants to play the island more than once within the same 5-6 day window, expect the same pins and slow greens

Probably daily on higher end courses.
Every Tuesday and Friday morning seems reasonable on like small town country club type courses. Or maybe Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday mornings.

I would much rather different pins on Saturday / Sunday.
I think changing the pins on Wednesday morning, Friday morning and Sunday morning makes sense. On days you don't move the pins (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; move the tee boxes)

Our club is closed mondays. So we have the Tue, Thu, Sat schedule. The members who play sat/sun every week usually play other days too. Doesn’t seem to bother anyone.

Greystone’s pins have been something else lately. It also seems like they’re installing them weird, so that a little ridge forms outside the cup.

The pins themselves haven’t been a problem for me lately. The locations of a few… yeah tougher than usual. But then I try to remind myself of some of the pins I’ve dealt with while traveling and it’s not so bad. Just out of the ordinary for Greystone.

We are closed on Monday too and normally the pins are changed on Saturday but having two courses helps if I play one each day but the same pins and tee boxes on the weekends is lazy.

Played there Tuesday afternoon for the first time in a while, definitely a fun challenge.

Pins and bunkers are casualties of Covid.
I don't believe most of the new players know what the rake is for.

don't play the island then if you're that mad about it. sounds like if that's the biggest complaints then they're doing a good job out there. have you asked why? maybe they're having employee problems. maybe they're putting other things on the priority list to have a golf course for golfers to play on while they get though whatever is going on. just a thought

Are you still the super there? If so, I would probably edit your post or get out of your feelings. Every business everywhere goes through stuff.

I could write a list of complaints about the quality of the island recently but it seems you must work there and don’t take criticism well. (It should be motivating)
Priority list? Greens should be #1 pal
Can’t even get a pin moved out there.

I'm just like you but the total opposite. i understand the business. i don't get on here bashing a golf course/small business over something so small. If it legitimate, then call them out. you're just a spoiled golfer that idf the greens don't roll 13, the entire golf course is a goat ranch. i see you post on here all the time. like i said. go ask the GM what may be going on. what if they have only a couple of workers trying to take care of 100+ acres. changing pins and green speed in bottom of the priority list. having cut grass and turf on greens is priority. i know the guys there and i know guys at most of the local courses. the guys at the island are working very hard. every course has a moment. The Island is the best value in south LA and as a golfer you know that. youre already bashing the island, post your list

just a golfer like you but I'm not spoiled or will bash over something so small. i understand the golf business behind the scenes

Unfortunately that’s a problem nationwide. Especially for outdoor manual labor.

Changing pins at bottom of list. Pins in the same spot for 6-7 days not damaging the green? lol
It’s amazing you speak of taking care of small business, etc. but tell people to go away if they have a simple question/complaint
Really taking care of that small business there!!!!
