Whenever you find out the answer, let me know.

Just dance and crack a tasteless joke.

I played for 40+ years. I played with a pissed off attitude most of those years. I don't know what happened, but the light came on and I began to enjoy playing. Less temper outbursts, less thrown clubs, and better medical tests results for blood pressure etc.
I finally convinced myself that bad shots were going to happen. Forget it and move on. My scores improved so did my attitude

Getting rid of awful shot
Not necessarily same as dealing with fear and Anger.
You can learn and change technical shot issues.
You can learn to master and even use emotions.
Why not both?
In this case the sport becomes your means to self mastery.
I'm guessing there are a few books on golf with the words Zen.or mastery in them.
Key: the breath is senior to the emotions. The implication is that when you even out your breath you can rebalance After anger or fear takes over.
Last but not least. Humor is freedom from the necessity of any "condition", High or low.
There are dozens of threads addressing every kind of bad shot.

Played 36 today.
43,48,41,40
Did not swear or curse once.
Had a stretch of really bad holes and just kept going.
I lowered my expectations.
I feel better and did not embarrass myself.

I just want to get rid of the truly awful shot.
Spend 4 hours (not more than 1 hour at a time) on the practice range, at least one if them with a good teaching pro, for every hour you spend playing. If you don't have the time, focus or discipline to do this, then acknowledge to yourself that you won't get much better and learn to enjoy the things about playing that are enjoyable and shrug off the things that aren't

Anger is a sign of stupidity.

I'm average at best (6.6 on the GHIN) I use to lose my shite sometimes. Once tore the bill off my hat after 3 consecutive OBs on the same tee haha
Best advice I ever got was from a guy I play with a lot that is a +1
"You have to lower your expectations"
I did and I enjoy the game a whole hell of a lot more now

Reflecting on the fact that you have the free time and money to chase a little white ball around a giant piece of land for hours each week should do the trick.

at the end of the day golf is hard as frick.
I mean we are trying to put a little ball in a tiny hole over 400 yards away with shite evwrywhere.
Golf is hard as hell.
that's how you handle temper

By realizing that even the pros, who play golf for a living, hit bad shots too.
this.
you have pros who practice 10 hours a day hit it all over the yard sometimes.
the game is hard has hell.

Tiger Woods in his prime said he may only hit 4-5 perfect shots a tournament. Think about that, the best of all time only hit 4-5 perfect golf shots out of around 270 shots over a weekend.
You are going to hit bad shots, minimize your big numbers and improve your short game and it will get easier.
it's a game of misses not great shots.
a lot of golfers don't realize that.
Golf is a game of misses.

45 holes in a row with no swear words or anger.
birdies, pars, triples, I made some of each.
I am at peace with my golf.
It is mostly mediocre; sometimes awful and sometimes brilliant.
I am grateful to be healthy enough to walk 36 holes yesterday in the heat.

I hit enough bad shots that if I let it mess with me than I wouldn’t play

Personally any time I get aggravated I remember I could be working instead of on the golf course.
It’s a game and you should enjoy playing it.

I stopped caring about the score. I only care about how hard I hit each shot. My goal is to hit each club as far as humanly possible. The purest form of freedom.

I don't play every shot like Im in a tournament with a million dollar purse

Only time I get really mad is if I skull or duff an easy chip because I wasn’t concentrating. That infuriates me.
Tee-to-green it appears I should be about a 3 or 4 handicap. My chipping makes it look like I’m a beginner at times even though I’ve played my whole life. I control my anger by laughing at myself and moving on. I’ve gotten better at this with age.
