Still never even gotten an eagle. Past two times I’ve played wildcat highlands I choked away eagle putts on 3

One was about 6 feet left about an inch or two short. Couldn’t get that out of my head

Two aces but no double eagles. First ace was 1999 at Jimmy Clay golf course in Austin, second one was last year at Cypress Lakes in Houston. 7iron from 177.

My double eagle at Pecan Valley was more impressive. From the back tees you have to hit about 315yds off the tee to be able to get a shot at the green which is elevated and guarded by bunkers. I hit a 3w from about 255yds that landed just short of the green between 2 bunkers and rolled up onto the green. I figured I’d have a good chance at eagle, but when we got to the green it was in the cup. I birdied the next 2 holes too!
I doubled the last 3 holes which gave all those strokes back. Lol.

Double eagle at LaTour on Monday. Not sure which par 5.

Scramble, tee shot from 95 yds, gimmick hole, 6 foot putt.

Have eagled 5 of the 9 holes at Eunice County Club

Nice. I have a few friends that went to UTSA as well.
I grew up on Sonterra (281/1604). Definitely public golf mecca. The brec redesign is pretty sweet. The private golf is a bit of a let down outside of Briggs and Cordillera.

I aced #1 at City Park and #3 at Webb within 6 weeks of each other in 2005. Have been close only one time since. Stillfeelsgoodman.

Been there more times than I'd like to admit. Most of my birdie misses are absolutely stupid. I've only had one eagle on a long par 5 that I wedged in from 85 yards. Never had a double eagle or hole in one. Closest to hole in one is about 18" from the hole that I birdied. That was the best round of my life at that point. Got an 82 that day. I've since hit 80 twice but still looking to break into the 70s.

#15 Webb Park....bladed the every loving' F out of a pitching wedge....ball was a laser shot moving at light speed in a straight line 5 feet off the ground.....smacked the pin DEAD SOLID PERFECT and the ball dropped about 6 inches behind the hole....I turned around and looked at my playing partners and they erupted and starting cheering. I remember thinking "Damn...it wasn't a good shot, why the hell are ya'll genuinely cheering" and they started point yelling that it went in. Sadly, I never say it go in.....but IT DID. ACE.

Pine Forest is a great golf course in Houston.

I just got an invite to play Blackhawk GC next Friday and I am stoked about it.

I like Wildcat Lakes and can't stand the Highlands course.

Blackhawk is a pretty tame layout. A few challenging holes though. The course is always in good shape. You’ll enjoy it.

Play the back tees or gold. Must better course from back there.

6 hole in ones. Had my first one about 25 years ago @ Shenandoah and my most recent was last week @ Greystone. One double eagle on hole 12 @ The Island 5 or 6 years ago.

Yup. I’ve never been back to that level. Best I have now is mid 70s, but I’m usually 78-82. My last 2 rounds I was -1 after 9 but finished +4 and +5/even par. I’m hoping to get an even par or better round before the end of the year.
