60 degrees, and it's one of the dumbest purchases I've made. I love it when I'm in the fairway around 70 yards out, but I'm so rarely at that yardage. It's okay for deep greenside bunkers, but the 56 degree is plenty.

72 degrees sounds like a waste of money, but to each their own.

58°, can turn it into a 64 if I feel its necessary. Stopped hitting full shots recently unless tight behind a bunker. More consistent with 3/4 or 1/2 54°

I’ve got a 64 but the majority of the time my 60 is the highest lofted club in my bag. I’ve never been in a situation that would make a 72 practical for me but I have a naturally high ball flight so getting the ball up in a hurry is never hard for me. I could be wrong but I don’t think even Phil has ever had anything more than a 64 in his bag.

I think I'd hurt myself with a 72.

I agree, I would tear a muscle or something.

My 58* opens up fine.

I have a P, 52, 56, and 60.
Love-hate relationship with 60. 56 is my go to wedge.

I have a 58 and a 60 but I'm starting to lean on the 58 because it's more forgiving when I decelerate around the green, and I can hit the same shots with it.

I have a 64 that I like to bust out for some situations. I hit some pretty shots with it but would not hit it out of a fairway lie.

Pretty much in a position where I have to try to punch below the tree, and inevitably frick that up.

Just learn how to hit it low. Punch shots will save you a lot more strokes than a 72 degree wedge that will probably save you zero strokes.

This means you're taking the club too far inside on the takeaway. When you open that puppy up you have to take the club a little outside and play the ball forward in the stance (inside left heel) and make a full swing, back and through.

Let the club slide under the ball, don't t feel like you're hitting down on it.

Sadly, no. From hearing the feedback though, it's clear I need to work on my mechanics when opening the face for these types of shots (where I'm 30 yards from the green closely behind a somewhat tall object).

Appreciate the pointer. I'll keep this in my mind when I'm practicing these types of shots this weekend.

I'll also let y'all know how a fricking 72 degree wedge hits. Might even post a video.

I'll be interested to see how you do once you get the shaft going more vertical back and through.

I'll let you know. Should this feel like I'm keeping my arms a little further from my body (particularly my back elbow)?
