I have 4 episodes downloaded for my flight to Salt Lake City on Saturday. Going to try and hold out until then.

Full Swing Thoughts podcast (same guys as Shotgun Start) have recaps for each episode.
First episode was a dud but rumor is the suits made them do it as the second episode (Koepka/ Scheffler) was supposed to be first but was too dark.
Looking forward to binging.

Yeah I watched one ep this morning and it seemed forced as frick. It made me worried that the whole thing was scripted and for non-golfers.

So the closed captions were done before the Final Cut. Lots of different language. Like for Poulter, the CCs say he was going to make 40 million at LIV, but the voice overs just say “millions.” Pretty interesting. Also kinda shocked there’s so much LIV footage.

It slowly gets better. 3 does a good job of being fair to Poulter. And ep 4 has been excellent as it covers Dahmen and his Caddy

One big difference I’m noticing from D2S is that FS focuses a ton of the stuff around the golf… families, friendships, etc. D2S really only had one episode per year like that during the break. The rest was all about the driving and the sport. Nearly every episode of FS has something about these guys’ personal lives. It’s overkill. I honestly don’t care that Dahmen is having a kid… or Finau’s FiL recently passed away… that Poulter’s kid likes trying on all his sunglasses. It’s just a ton of fluff and not focusing on the golf. It also hops around too much. Masters to US Open back to Masters to PGA to Players back to US Open… no real continuity.
ETA: And now they’re forcing more Tiger talk during the Finau episode by using his presence at the 2019 Masters final round.

I haven't watched it yet but the "hype" video the pgatour posted on instagram yesterday with a convo between Spieth/Thomas was the most forced brutal thing I have ever seen golf media put out. Watching that alone brought my expectations way down.
I just don't think the golfers they have on are entertaining enough. Spieth/Thomas brutally corny. Morikawa is incredibly meh. DJ has no personality, are they going to follow the gretzkys around? Brooks terrible.
Dahmen is the only one that jumps out to me as someone I want to watch.

All we are really watching is a bunch of player profiles. It was the most drama-filled pga tour season in history and they instead spent most of the focus on the players’ personal lives rather than the golf. Pretty disappointed.

Poulter talking about the LIV money as a means to provide for his family, while showing his family flying around in private jets and showing his 2000 sq/ft closet comes across as really shallow too.
