Yea man, fire a few 76’s and the algorithm all of a sudden thinks you can play.

Too bad they don’t take video submissions

I have an 82 on a 74.6 rated course counting towards my cap and that gets you to a 6. Your numbers are hard to believe unless you play Shinny or Winged Foot a lot.

My last 10 rounds I’m averaging an 81.6 with a 90 and a 95 in there

Also have a 75, 76, 78

Says my cap is 6.7. Guess I’m just inconsistent

Hole outs and hole in ones are alot about luck, I wouldn’t say someone is more skilled based on those factors.
I would. Before surgery and I was playing tournaments I’d hole out a few from the fairways every year. I went 4 years in a row with an ace.

Know your yardage, when you get it on line, you get lucky a lot more often. I was playing a lot so that helps too.

I mean, Trent from Barstool is the guy who I can’t understand more than anyone being so bad playing so much, but he’s also unathletic. It just surprises me when athletic people play so much, have access to all the tools in the world, and don’t seem to get any better.

He is unbelievably bad and maybe its just me but it really seems like his lessons with Tillery aren't very helpful. His swing has not improved in the slightest, maybe he is a little better around the green but his fundamentals are not better

he went to GA to get lessons, played MUCH better in GA and then went home and stopped doing everything he learned. it is no wonder he isn't getting any better.

Also didn't he play college football at Iowa? He had to be a decent athlete at some point.

True he is pretty honest about not practicing. I will give the guy credit his "Breaking x" series is good. I am sure part of him knows that the second he breaks 90 the series is basically over bc that guy is never breaking 80

you might be on to something there. Didn't think of that. He could maybe do a breaking 87 or 85 someday if he stopped doing stupid crap on the course but 80 is definitely a pipe dream.

So in a recent video Steve hit his 7i further than John rham. I guess that means Steve can legitimately crush his irons and it wasn't just a takomo thing.

Nah, Steve said in another video, his irons are bent and his 7 is more like a 5

Anyone see Grant and Micah’s new video at the pro-am?

There probably isn’t a better example of why I don’t like Micah’s content than this video.

1. He has zero personality. Seems kind, but my goodness he’s boring.

2. I know he’s got incredible talent and can get hot and got low but I cannot take him seriously as a professional golfer. Grant might be better than Micah. But you’d never know it with how he carries himself compared to Micah.

3. I find it hard to believe that there aren’t better golfers with fantastic personalities who could put out infinitely better content than Micah. Malnati was WAAAAAY more entertaining than Micah. Twice as much charisma. Funnier, quicker, more engaging, just stole the entire episode.

There have to be better content creators than Micah out there.

If you listened closely, he is. Grant is a 1 and Micah a 2 handicap, at least for that event they were.

I agree with you re Micah, though. He’s pretty boring. Talented but boring.

Why is he even attempting to be a “pro golfer” with a 2 handicap?

TBH I think he just likes saying he’s attempting to go pro. He’s been saying that for 2 years now

In reality, there’s no way he could put in the work to make a real attempt at “going pro” while also being a full-time influencer, and without being an influencer he’s not sponsored by TaylorMade. He prob needs to call a spade a spade at this point

I think that’s part of where the frustration comes from on the Good Good side of things. These two guys got their numbers and platform boosted way up because of Good Good, and then left to go do their own thing. Grant moreso than Micah because Micah at least had his own following.

And from everything I’ve heard, they’re super nice guys and I get wanting to break away from people that can seem a little childish at times. But it’s hard to continue popularity on social media solely thru being very nice and pretty decent at golf.

Yep, which is basically why Luke Kwon joined Good Good. Super nice guy, former touring pro, but no personality to be an influencer by himself

I think if Grant marketed the teaching aspect like Rick Shiels, he could find a nice niche, but Micah doesn’t really have anything to offer outside being pretty good and hitting the ball far

I just watched it. He is a bore and no way he will ever be a ‘pro’. He says ‘Okay guys’ too much. It was annoying.
