Hilarity doth ensue in Micah’s last pro tournament entry.
He 4 putted from 12 feet. He missed not one, but two 2 foot putts.
I’ve seen that happen, but never personally done it.

Good Good signs with Callaway.
Grant and Micah sign with TaylorMade.
Interesting.

Wait, what??? I thought he was all Cobra?
I like Grant's content the best. Humble guy who just wants to get better and typically plays pretty decent.
ETA: TM is kicking the competition in sponsorships. They got Fore Play and now the two better players from GG.

They all swapped. Garrett was with Mizuno and left for Callaway along with the rest of the GG group. Grant was full Mizuno too and and as you mentioned Micah was with Cobra. I think Titleist signed with No Laying Up too, so it seems all the major manufacturers signed these youtube content creators in a flurry.
Agreed Grant is the best out of all of them. He's the most relatable and super down to earth. GG was awesome previously, but they do too much cheesy stuff for me, like intertwining Call of Duty and golf, etc.
The 2v2 Micah and Grant did recently with Sam Bennett who won last year's amateur championship was probably my favorite video I've watched. Now that Grant and Micah are with TM, I'm looking forward to seeing them create content with some of TM's pros, there's certainly a ton of big names to choose from.

i'm the opposite of you. I like all the non-traditional competition from GG. I hate the overproduced crap that Callaway and TM forces on their groups. Most of the time when PGA pros show up, they don't really play golf (see foreplay and GG's 13 pros).
I do think it is fascinating that GG now averages 350k+ views per day (x7 days a week) and the PGA tour can't average that for 4 days. When you add up GG, Grant, Micah, BustaJack, Bob Does Sports, Rick Shiels, etc. Youtube golf absolutely crushes the PGA tour in views outside of Majors (which aren't PGA events anyway).

Agreed. The only youtuber I can think of than consistently gets actual touring pros to play much "real golf" is Rick Sheils. He had a full 18 with Rickie last week at Medalist, has had rounds with Nick Faldo, Tommy Fleetwod, Lee Westwood, Adam Scott, and gets other DP Tour players on as well. He also plays world famous courses and does club reviews, which no one else really does like he does. Probably why he has almost 2.5 million subs to his channel and is getting 500k-million views for most of his content
GG had a thing with Bryson for a little while, and I know Micah/Grant have filmed some 6 hole matches recently with him. And GG just did a 9 hole match with Rickie. But most of all of their stuff is with college golfers (many not even really "good" college golfers), junior amateurs, and other youtube content creators. That will probably change with everyone getting these deals but I don't see them playing a ton of full matches with touring pros either.
These quirky formats are them just trying to avoid their content getting stale, which I think is an issue a lot of youtube golfers run into. If they had 1 or two formats on repeat, people would probably stop watching because no one wants to watch the same people play each other in the same formats every time a video is released, especially when only a couple members of the group now are actually good at golf.
Think about Zac Radford. He basically has the same video and format every time and releases content every single week. He only has 120k subs and his videos get less than 10k views. He's actually a good golfer, but his content gets boring.
Even look at Foreplay's subscriptions. They have a quarter of what GG has because most of their content is just bad golfers playing stroke and match play. It's so infrequent that they have their Kisner type videos that people aren't subscribing at the same volume to watch all their videos. Most of their content has less than 10k views.

Really all of youtube has this problem. GG puts out more content than anyone else and it really isn't close. With that said, I don't watch hardly anything they do anymore for this very reason. If they did a charity scramble or played in a celebrity tourny or had a super interesting vs video I would watch but the day to day stuff they do with just their group is not good anymore.
Foreplay puts out so little content that for them to only get the views they do is bad.
Spittin chiclets is the best golf content out there but they do 1 video every 4 mos.

The No Laying Up video playing alternate shot with Spieth and JT was pretty sweet.

BDS annoyed me at first but their shtick since adding FP is really good. I genuinely laugh out loud at alot of their stuff.

BDS has just signed on with Callaway too.
Look for more cross videos with GG

Give the Good Good guys credit for improving. Other than Steve that is…
Matt and Bubbie were both 10+ handicaps a year ago and I bet Matt is like a 2 now and Bubbie is damn near the best player in the group now, he’s gotta be scratch

Soly is definitely a loser. Wreaks of new money and grew up a nerd.
You can definitely tell Tron and Neil grew up wealthy and Tron is a little snooty, but I think they're both pretty funny and at least self aware. Tron knows all of his Michelan star restaurant stuff comes off as high brow.
I used to like Big Randy, but I lost a lot of respect for him on Tourist Sauce Michigan when they went into his back story and he never really had a job and lived off his parents before NLU because "he couldn't find his passion." I don't really want to have a job either dude, but it's part of life. Once I learned that and saw how he kind of talks down to a lot of people and wants to act enlightened while he was a slacker for the better part of a decade it got on my nerves.
Overall, some of their stuff is great, and you kind of know what you are going to get with all of their content when you see what it is so I just pick and choose what I watch/listen to. But overall, I agree with you, they used to be great, but have gotten to close to the Tour to bring what they did 5 years ago.

Not a chance. Neither have the short game to be there. They also play in so many scrambles that you don’t remember their bad holes. Whenever they do stroke play formats, neither ever break 80 and are usually shooting in the high 80s. Bubbie can hit crazy shots but can also make a quad at any time.
In their most recent video, yes Matt holed out on 18. But he also topped and/or hit 5-6 shots OB during the round. I’d bet he and Bubbie are both 8-10 handicaps

I might still believe that in Matt, they haven’t played stroke play in awhile I bet Bubbie is shooting better than that these days

Bubbie has come a long way controlling his drives, but his game inside 100 yards is still pretty bad

He’s better. He’s probably around a 5 which is way better for sure.
How Matt and Steven still stink astounds me. They play way too much golf to be that bad.

Saw him hit 18 greens in a tournament and none of them were outside 10 feet.
6 3 putt bogies, 6 pars, 6 birdies. He tried everything and just couldn’t putt to save his life. Worked hard at it, just couldn’t do it.
So you never know why someone doesn’t get better with practice.
