Anyone here have a junior or know a junior taking lessons at Golftec? Pros and Cons?

Heard lots about Burkstaller at Greystone. Can anyone give some direction?

I took several lessons from Burkstaller. That and a little bit of practice was all I needed to go from a 20 handicap to a 3. He's the man.

Don’t go to McGwyer. Guy is a creep. He shouldn’t be around kids.

Chris is great, especially with juniors. Greystone went from having no Junior program at all to having multiple camps throughout the year, enough kids to put together 3 junior teams (they only had one last year but went 12-0), and hosting multiple junior tournaments including an AJGA event this spring. All of this within a year and a half.

That is a pretty strong claim to make with no backstory. I mean if you want to market greystone that is fine but at least provide some facts with a claim like that. I know a few people who use McGwyer and all think he is a good teacher...so it caught me off guard to hear that.

He’s already been in trouble once and had to delete his Facebook claiming that he was hacked which was obviously not the case. He attacked some girl who he disagreed with politically calling her a c*nt and so on. He didn’t know her and she didn’t know him. It was just a public post. But she was local and people noticed. He’s back on FB but with his account locked down. But people can still see the public posts he makes. Like on barstool where he posts that he’d be fine with some hot girl giving him aids. Or that he doesn’t know why all women don’t get huge fake tits.

All that is fine for the OT and with your buddies on a course even. Not something I would say but whatever makes people feel cool. But he coaches little girls. I wonder when he plans on telling them it’s time for them to get implants.

It’s just an odd/creepy behavior for a teacher/coach to have on a public platform and your name attached to it.

Travis Coxe, IMO, is way to technical and is like talking to a tree stump.

I woukdnt Want to learn golf at Golftrc, but if your son is already playing it’s a great place to refine his game.

I honestly don’t even know the details. But if it’s worse than what he’s already done, it can’t be good. Just glad he isn’t working with juniors anymore.

Burkstaller is a really good guy. Definitely the right place to go for a junior wanting to learn the game.
