Touché. I should have used my lob wedge as the example/front side of the range……was showing I carried it 89 and I was shooting 105 with the range finder.

Do they measure the distance to each target from each individual bay/hitting area or is it just a standard distance?

ETA: nvm I read the posts wrong, you were measuring them with a laser.

Has anyone gone recently? I usually go once a week, and it's been great. But they recently changed their balls. They used to have the white range balls that were in pretty good shape, and flew decent enough.

Now they have these crappy yellow range balls that are beat to shite and cracked. I'm kind of disappointed because those balls are so bad, I can't really get a true feel for distances.

I hope this isn't the start of them going downhill like Top Golf has.

If you run out of balls they refill you for free. You pay for time not balls

Yep, why I don’t go very often. Even their “premium” golf balls suck.

They are in dire need for a ball upgrade. Tons of cracked or dimple-less balls. And most of the time, they're soaking wet right out of the ball machine.

Town needs a super basic range with cold beer and booths. Nothing else. Maybe a chipping area.

I went to Santa Maria today. So much better than Golf Suites and only $12 bucks for a large bucket

I would go weekly if their balls were worth a damn. It’s a great place with shite balls.

Back of the range shot 285 on the range finder which is normally what I carry the ball with a driver +/-
Careful talking numbers on this board. Apparently it's not physically possible to hit it long unless you're a college or pro player.

My bro lives out in Indiana. Got a little range there, dude will let you try any club, serves cheap beer, had an ok indoor putting area and in warmer months you can chip outside. Thats it. Basic as hell but awesome

No trackman though. To be fair not sure how much you can rely on the one at Golf Suites though because of the condition of the balls

I know right, dude claimed 285 carry, which isn't even that difficult and we had someone call him Kyle Berkshire.

My input on this thread is according to TopTracer Tech at City Park, I can generally carry it around 290-305, but at Golf Suites, I supposedly struggle to hit the ball a total of 280-290.

Also, on course I routinely hit the ball 315-335 with roll out factored in. The outlier of my distances occurs at Golf Suites and it's because their golf balls are absolutely cooked.

It's a cool place to practice, but the yardages can be taken with a grain of salt. Usually I like to get plastered and try to hit stingers at the targets and top tracer tech towers. I'm not factoring in these sessions for on course yardage/club choice decision making.
