When did these kids get so good? My Godchild is playing and shot 69 and getting lapped. When I played this tournament back in the day no one was shooting these numbers especially 13-14 year olds.

If you really want to feel inadequate, Aaron Pounds home course is Carlton Woods..

A place you probably wouldn't be able to step foot on.

And he's 13.

Yeah, my buddy said most holes are 80-110 in if you find the fairway. Still, 62 is a number that should scare a 13-14 year old.

Not sure they can expand that course. Does it need to move to a newer modern course?

Gotcha. I wonder if that shitty motel with the driving range is still there?

Dothan is super easy to kids these days, they aren’t hitting big bertha’s and burner bubble’s the game has advanced way beyond those days for sure.

Most of those Texas kids played 6900+ yards last week in the Patrick Reed tournament. This one is ~6100 yards.

My wife's cousin was a member out there a few years back, so I got to play Dothan C.C.

I beat it around, played absolutely terrible, and still had a good round. I don't think I had more than wedge in on any hole and these kids are better than me. No wonder they are going so low.

The future masters was THE tournament when we grew up. Now, sadly, that is not the case.

Yeah. I never got invited

But when I was playing the AJGA was still growing. Add in that this course is insanely short and you get scores like this.
