Bc Rory decided to tell everybody how much better of a person he and other guys that stayed with the PGA are. Acting like the Saudi's are the devil when the PGA was in bed with China for years just rubs people the wrong way. Just shut up and play golf Rory. Rory’s a golf nut/nerd. I feel like what he’s consistently said is it’s not good for the sport and the fans, and he’s been right the whole time on that.

This is just not true. After the merger was announced he "came to terms with it" but he bashed the Saudis at every turn before that.

I mean he did say "there was a morality to it". That's saying it's blood money without saying blood money. That's a I'm better than you and I have morals that won't let me take that money BS take.
He took a moral high ground, not nearly as much as Jay who was playing off sympathy for 9/11 families, but it was a play that didn't workout for his image among a lot of fans.

Absolutely ZERO to do with LIV He never once played the blood money angle with PIF or LiV. From the beginning, he actually said this, playing down the blood money angle and saying PIF needs to be accepted in golf as a reality. From 2022:

If that’s from 2019 then that quote has been getting misused for a while Didn’t realize that was before LIV.
Regardless, he came off as a douche in this whole ordeal for a long time, to a lot of people. I was someone who really liked Rory before all of this, he was my favorite golfer. But a lot of people became bigger fans of him too. I feel bad for how the Tour made him look. They wanted him to be their white knight and he took up the role and got stabbed in the back for it. If I was Rory I would have marched in Jays office and knocked his front teeth after the announcement with PIF.

I have no issue with disliking Rory for whatever reason you chose. Just was pointing out he never made “blood money” a thing with LIV. In fact as you can see he did the opposite

Haven't seen it mentioned but I really enjoyed the Fitzpatrick brothers episode. They both seem like great, down to earth people from a good family. I had no idea that Alex had to go through qualifying to get into the open and then had a top 20 finish. Really cool story.

His best friend on tour Max Homa has said kind of similar things. I've heard him say that Joel has the talent to be one of the better players on Tour but doesn't take his job seriously enough (paraphrasing) and is too self-deprecating regarding his ability

Watching Season 2 now and I’ve gotta make an “old man yells at cloud” post.
The whole “Golf Bro” crowd has turned me off. Seems like every week there’s a new group of 3-4 guys making videos on a course and acting like 10 year old girls when they get to talk to a Pro.
The spinoff from that is some of these clowns in the galleries. Every shot of the gallery in Full Swing you can spot tons of overweight 20-30 year olds wearing all the name brand golf gear looking like total retards.
I’ll see myself out.
