Say one foursome goes up for charity auction at AGNC.

I think it would get into 6 figures very easily and probably gets close to the two comma club.

Same thing for Cypress Point and Pine Valley. Though probably as high given not everyone knows the course like Augusta.

I am crazy to think this?

I don't think anyone would pay 9 figures to play one round at Augusta.

If a person with that kinda money was even entertaining the thought, then that kinda wealth knows someone, or someone who knows someone, that could get them on.

Now, 9 figures for a membership...absolutely. In a heartbeat; no questions asked.

2 comma club is 7 figures not 9 figures. so $1 million+ not $100 million

I'd think it would start in the 6 figures. $1mm is a lot for one round of golf, even with the Augusta experience. I think it'd end up around half a million or more

It's probably in the 250,000 - 500,000 range. Like someone said, if you have that much money to drop in a single round of golf, you can probably get on ANGC.

People would pay just to say they did it. My dad's former boss owns a $200+ million dollar construction company and has his scorecard with his 84 framed in his office.

We also have a close family friend who has been good friends with Billy Payne for 30+ years. In those 30+ years, he's gotten the opportunity to play ANGC twice

It's a foursome. That's $250,000 a person. I think it's possible to draw that much interest.

I think there are some Local Augustans that are members that might not be tech billionaires and would be willing to sell their guest rounds for $50K a pop.

I know a guy that played pine valley a few times and doesn’t have near that money, just got extremely lucky thru work.

No chance they are letting anyone sell a guest round for less than $100k

No.

That is not who they are.

They may not be Uber wealthy, but they are not “monetizing” their membership.

I watched someone pay $2.5M for a Hummer at Barrett Jackson 2 weeks ago.

With the emotion and the intangible value of a round at Augusta, someone is easily spending $1M for that 4-Some. Probably closer to $2 or $3M.

Don’t underestimate the amount of money in the system and the stuff people will do with it.

I have a hard time believing AGNC would let a foursome go for anything less than $500K. Honestly $1M seems like the number.

Cypress and pine valley I think would go for much more reasonable amounts.

I think it would easily go into the high hundreds of thousands if not into millions.

And to the other point, no. It’s EXTREMELY hard to become a member. The money alone isn’t an issue, you heed to have multiple people vouching and inviting.

Know of a multi millionaire who was friendly with people there but still could never get in. He finally gave up

Augusta found out a member was selling guest rounds and kicked him out. They won't accept anything like that at all.

I think 500k is the Max it would get. I think anyone who is able to drop over $1,000,000 for charity to play a round at Augusta, can get on by other means.

This is a solid hypothetical because we all know this will NEVER happen.

I always said that I would pay a $1000 buck to play there once.
