Love that course. Used to play in the pro-am every year before it was a play-off event. The zoysia fairways give you perfect lies every time. The bermuda rough on the other hand ..

Yep, this is basically every CC in Memphis. Those baked out bermuda greens in the summer, though, not fun.
I grew up playing at Southwind a lot, best friend's parents were members. That course was really tough for golfers who can't hit the ball very far. Definitely designed for tournament play and not your run of the mill CC folks.

I'm going out tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. It's gonna be hot. Very hot. Only got a couple years left to go... haven't missed a tournament since the early 80s. Hate to see it go away. Maybe they'll figure out some way to save it.

Happened here back in 24 as well. I think it happened at Pebble Beach too.

Yeah, he struggles on Sunday, especially when entering the day close to the top. When inside the top 10, his Sunday average is +70 (2026).
