Spieth...currently tied for the lead at -4 early in Rd 1.
Finished the tournament at -4 and got booted out of the playoffs. He was overly optimistic after the round yesterday about how he's back and great things are coming. I truly aspire to live in his level of delusion. He needs to blow up his team yesterday.

Yeah, Lord forbid a guy that has realized he's played like shite for the past few years be positive or optimistic that he might have found a little something that could turn the corner.. I mean the nerve of that guy
Plus the dude is only 33... he's still got some good golf years left in him

I'm a bigger fan of Spieth than anyone else on this board and have followed his career closely since he came on tour.
He's not any closer to winning today than he was 4 years ago when he last won. He made the same mistakes this tournament that have kept him from winning. He can't put even 3 above average rounds together, much less 4.
He's still missing short putts, making bad club decisions, and not executing the shots he's needs to because of crazy indecision over every shot. In football quarterback terms, he's seeing ghosts out there.
