Me and a buddy paired up with a single once. We play a pretty competitive match with each other so the fact that this guy seemed to be in a huge hurry started getting to us. He was kicking back 5-6 ft putts to us randomly and driving his cart right into our shot line several times. All so he could get up to the next tee box and wait I guess....there were a 4 some and 5 some in front so it’s not like we were going anywhere.

Finally, on hole #6 we politely told him that we were going to slow down a bit and he was welcome to go ahead suggesting the other groups may let him play through. He said he was good and obviously didn’t get the hint. We get to the green and I hammer my putt a little too hard, but he proceeds to kick back a 4fter to me, puts the pin in the flag and hurried to his cart.

My buddy laid into him, “where’s the fire bro?” and proceeded to yell at him about letting us finish out and to slow the f*** down. The guy raced off and I guess skipped in front of the other groups.

Not as heated, but pretty awkward.

The best part about this story is it didn't happen

About 25 years ago, playing #12 at Fairwood CC in Baton Rouge. I hooked one off the tee and it was headed right for a guy on the #11 fairway, ball hits the golf cart and bounces off and hits him in the ribs. We all yelled FORE from the tee box. I proceed to walk over to apologize to him and he is yelling at me when I get about 50 yards from him that he is going to his car to get his gun. Several 4 letter words were exchanged and he throws my golf ball at me trying to hit me. Long story short when we got back to club house informed the pro of what happened. This guy was kicked out of CC. Found out later that this was about the 3rd time he had done something like this.

Playing at Copper Mill last summer. Hitting my 2nd shot to #18 green I see that someone is driving something on the green so before I hit my shot I ride up to see what it is. It is a kid ridding a small 4wheeler on the green with his dad standing in cart path next to green. I had been drinking so this discussion went south quick, I asked him WTF was that kid doing ridding 4wheeler on the green? This dumb arse proceeds to tell me that this is his house next to the green and he pays yearly subdivision fees to keep this golf course running that he could do what he wanted.

Out at TPC one day, the guy I was playing with accidentally hit into the group in front of us. Their cart was back behind some trees searching for a ball so we didn't see them. He hit his drive probably 10-20 yards from their card. We apologized, they were kind of dicks about it (A dad and a teenage son) and they were playing slow

A few holes later they were on the green on a par 5, I was 260 out so I hit my second shot with a 4 hybrid (220 club) to lay up. It rolled up maybe 30 yards short of the green and the son threw a fit and started yelling. We rolled up there and my buddy says "look kid i'm not afraid to beat your arse in front of your dad" They called the pro shop on us, never amounted to anything but I got a good laugh out of it

I've got a few too many to remember, but this one sticks out from last year.
Playing in Member-Guest at GICC and we are playing our second 9-hole match on Day 1. We get to our 3rd hole, 2up, and it's a Par 3 over water. Nobody really sticks it tight, but I lagged it up to within a foot and get a that's good. So, I pick it up and say thanks. One of the opponents has hit it in the water and is out of the hole. The other guy is about 25' out for birdie and rolls it by about 4'. I nor my partner say anything and this dude flat loses his sh!t about sportsmanship and said we were not getting a gd thing the rest of round because we made him putt a 4'er Seeing as I was the guest and my buddy was the member and a pretty religious fella, I keep quiet for the time being. Sh!thead makes the 4'er and immediately starts on another rant about he's the reigning mf'ing gd senior club champ and he deserved to not have to putt that. At this point, I had enough and told him if I heard another gd/mf come out of his mouth directed at one of us, that one of us was not leaving without an arse whipping and that we were good putting everything out for the remainder of the match. We proceed to birdie the next 2 for a 4.5 - 0.5 pt lead in the match before he cools off and comes over to us to apologize for his behavior. We proceed to spank that arse 7-2.

Nah bruh, it just seems to seek me out. I'm as easy going as it gets, but I obviously have a knack of getting under people's skin on the course.

I’ve never gotten into it with anyone, then again I’m not trashy and play at the appropriate pace.

Many years ago 4 of us were playing on a Saturday afternoon. We weren't going to set a record for pace of play. We were waiting on almost every shot. On a par 5 we were waiting to hit our 3rd shots when a ball went rolling by us. We looked back and the group behind us was quite a ways back. We chalked it up to a career shot. Several holes later on another par 5 they hit into us again as we were waiting. This time it got ugly and almost resulted in punches being exchanged. They didn't hit into us again.

18th fairway
Seems a bit risky being that close to the club house.

I am might be a lot of things but I am not a slow golfer. My dad hammered pace into As a kid.

Played a really slow day at wildcat in Houston. This guy hit into us twice already. On 18 he put on in our cart while was 150 out waiting on someone to get off the green. I kept the ball. He came to the green screaming at us cause he couldn’t find ball. I felt embarrassed for him since he got kicked off the course.

At pelican point years ago a single was playing behind us so we asked him to join us to it a threesome. Later in the round on the back 9, a balll rolls up to about 20 yards from us. My buddy and I don’t say a word, no big deal. This guy screams back at the group and yells “how bout a fore moherfricker” - and runs over the balll burying it in the fairway.
It was pretty damn embarrassing-
