Enough with hitting houses and cars, any of you boys hit a person?

I once bladed a sand wedge trying to do the old Tiger bounce, bounce, swing shot, while waiting on the group to clear the green. Hit it off the toe into a retaining wall and right back into my buddies shin. He wasn't please and we were too young for me to buy him a beer, I had to wait until the weekend to get him good and drunk.

A close friend of mine's older brother was playing at the LSU course. One of his friends hit a low burner as someone stepped out from the other fairway looking away. Ball caught him right in the back and sent him to his knees. Everyone was fine and walked away, albeit some slower than others.

Who hear has hit someone or witnessed it?

Never hit anyone, but I've been hit in the arm while waiting to tee off on first hole. Guy on #9 shanked his approach shot.

Buddy of mine was hit in face while "chipping" in the front yard with his brother. Brother bladed it right in his upper lip. Was black and blue for a month.

I saw King Ranch hit BeaverPRO while he was sitting in his cart on #10 at LSU a few years ago from the tee box...

.....with an 8 iron.

#7 at The Links. In good shape off the tee. I'm lining up my second with a hybrid. I see the group on 8 leave their carts and walk up to the tee. I have to aim at that turn around because I play a draw(it's a dangerous design), especially with hybrids. I hit the shot and look up. A guy in the group in front is running back to the cart area because he forgot something I guess. I start yelling. The ball nails him in the elbow and bounces nicely toward the hole. I pitch up and make the putt for birdie. I never got to thank him.

I've never came close to hitting anyone.

I've had guys hit into my group several times and just don't understand it. They were just frustrated because of the slow play, which I get, but there was nothing we could do. We weren't the group holding others up.

I don't think a lot of people realize the damage that can be done from hitting someone with a golf ball. Nothing pisses me off more than people who take their approach shot as soon as you clear the green. Let us get in our carts and start pulling away before pulling the trigger.

No, but my wife hit a ball off the outside toe of her driver and it went 90* sideways and hit the side of the canopy of the golf cart that my friend was sitting in Scared the hell out of both of them. That was the last couples scramble the wife played.

Worked at LSU golf course for a while. Same foursome of brothas (Temple 4 some) had high expectations as to how long course maintenance should take. One of his bum friends smoked my calf off the tee while I was raking bunkers. I threw the ball in the pond on 4.

Been also hit out at Coppermill by a band of brothas.

I am seeing a trend. My white arse isnt fast enough.

Got hit in the head at Muni (Lafayette) on No. 1 from a tee shot on No. 18. Looked like I had a half a golf ball under my skin. But I toughed it out and finished the round.

I was playing in a scramble about two years ago. Long par 5. We make it to the tee box and watch the group ahead play up to the green. The three guys I'm with hit their drives perfect middle of the fairway, so it is grip and rip time for me. I smoke a perfectly flush drive with a slight draw down the right side of the fairway. We here a loud bang. As we start driving up we realize the hole is way down hill and the right side has a decent hill my ball went over. Right on the down side is the actual group in front of us that we didn't know were there. They were waiting for the other group to leave the green to try to get on in two. My ball landed on the top of their cart and shot 50 yards further down the fairway. Big guys too! They laughed and fin was had by all.

I almost shat a brick when we saw them.

That's a bomb of a shot especially if it hit you on the fly. That's got to be 340 yards away. I've missed right on that shot and have ended up in front of 9 green, but never all the way to 1 tee box.

Never hit anyone.

I've been hit a few times. Golf maintenance is a risky business.

I hit a groundskeeper in the leg from a little over 200 out. In my defense I waited for him to move and when he didn't I tried yelling and signaling to him. Finally said screw it and flushed my 3H and hit him while he was next to the green side bunker. I apologized to him but he didn't offer much of a response. Not sure if because he was pissed or if because he was Spanish

During a yearly Scramble tournament I play in I hit a poor tee shot into the next fairway. About 2 minutes later two guys come riding up yelling "don't you know how to yell "FORE!!, you hit me in the F'n NUTs!!". While chuckling, I said sorry as they drove off yelling at me. After a second or two I realized that I probably didn't hit him in the nuts just landed to close to him/cart and he didn't like it. I still tell people I hit a guy in the nuts once.

No, I've gotten close a few times on blind holes with drivable greens when I was younger.

Pretty much nothing is drivable these days.

Was playing on Hilton Head, I was stuck behind a foursome of 2 couples, backed up all day. Get to a Par 3 with a big elevated green, and don't see the group anywhere. Don't see any of their carts. No balls on the green. Think to myself "Finally, they sped up". Proceed to absolutely melt my next shot. Going right at the flag. As I look up towards the green, to my horror, one of their foursome is walking up on the green from behind. My shot hits once, and then catches the guy right in the thigh. Stops 2 ft from the hole.

They had apparently all hit long and parked their carts behind the green.

One of the wives drives back to give me the business. She was I apologized profusely.
