Early 30s. I was stronger than in my 20s but still flexible and quick. I’ve lost a lot of speed since then but still enjoy the game as much as ever.

was a my best. Plus 3.5. Was a plus for almost 15 years.

Everybody should try to play with a plus handicap golfer every chance you get.

It can be a real educational process that could help your game.

I use to play weekly with a guy that was a plus 2.5 at Riverbend GC in Sugarland.

The way he would try to play to a specific yardage off the tee on par 4's and his course management was very beneficial.

Was it a particular summer or year. Age, courses, weather, timing, anything that you just recall, “that was the best?”

Summer before I started grad school. Lived at my parents' house, still was young enough to play on their CC membership, had nothing to do, played golf 5x a week. Got my handicap down to between a 3 and 4. Still was pretty good while in grad school. I lived 10 minutes from a cheap muni course I could walk for like $20 a round, and they also had a cheap driving range. But once real life started, age, a wife, and 2 kids later, I'm nowhere near what i was then and very likely will never come close again.

It’s definitely not at the current moment. Normally around a 8-10 but last two rounds have been a joke. Took a two week break. Gonna go to the range this morning and see if the stink wore off

I’m kind of in the same boat…
My short game and off the tee is the best it’s ever been right now but my irons are pure garbage.
Overnight all my irons now go about 100-110 yards no matter what club it is… it’s so infuriating. Need to get with my local instructor for a lesson.
