See, I’m clearly not upset about no cut events.
Try to remain consistent. I couldn’t care less about the tour making these new events no cut. I just think it’s funny watching you twist into pretzels trying to deny it is a direct response to LIV.

OWGR is now even more of a joke. One of the main justifications for not awarding LIV any points was the no cut issue. There was still precedent for awarding such events (e.g. Hero, WGCs, etc..) but those were "one-offs." Now what? The only difference is 18 more holes on the Tour.
The entire rankings system needs to be reorganized and the new formula applied retroactively. It also needs to be independent of any pro tour or body.

I will say after listening to a little bit more of this, I don’t hate it near as much as I initially did.
It sounds like you’ll have multiple cut events that players can use to play their way into the no- cut events among other criteria.
I still think no-cut events are flat but we’ll see.

OWGR was created by the majors to decide who made it into the majors. It's the entire purpose of it. They may change their criteria soon, but they're not going to let some other group decide things for them.

Kind of with you here. I still don't like the no-cut thing but think the meritocracy is in place in that there is a pathway into these no-cut events by playing your way in through the multiple cut events.
Wish the PGA didn't go this no-cut route though. Completely unnecessary after looking at the WM and Genesis. Plus just handed some bullet points back over to LIV. Just dumb to do that at this point.
