Anyone know if they're getting ready to drop a golf course in by L'Auberge? I remember that the original plan was to have a golf course. Noticed that they've cleared alot of land between the casino and Hwy 30

I doubt it ever happens.

Surprised they didn't pay anyone off to drop the new new bridge right by them.

Yea don’t think you’ll see a course there anytime soon, I think they have advanced stay and play tied in with UClub but not sure, if I’m gambling I’m at the Beau and playing golf on the Ms Gulf Coast anyways. I think I’ve been in L’Auberge twice in my life.

It’s an RV Park development the company I work for was selected to build:
LEMOINE has been selected to lead the construction efforts of the new Crescent RV Resort in Baton Rouge, LA! Sitting on 61 acres in the shadows of L’auberge Casino, this development includes sitework, infrastructure and asphalt paving with 220 concrete pads to park and hook up an RV. The development also includes provisions for future amenities such as a clubhouse, social pool, lazy river, and more.
LEMOINE is excited to partner with PLP Parking Lot Palace to further enhance entertainment and recreation amenities in Baton Rouge.

UClub is going to membership wait list for those contemplating joining.

Could you even build one? You'd have to do so much drainage work for it to be playable that it wouldn't make any economic sense, if it's even possible

UClub is steadily emailing out membership emails but as packed as it gets there it sounds like they should’ve stopped taking members awhile back. I am sure tee times are still tough to get?

Their latest email was that they will maintain a waitlist and only let new members in once the dip below their determined threshold.
Hoping this new bridge thing happens and I'll play island more.

Is the determined threshold 1,000 golfers?
That place could easily justify another 9 or at least a few more holes to turn it to 27. I'm sure it would take a reroute of the current 18, but it may smooth out the rush.

I have played there five times in non-tournaments. Every time I tell myself never again.

The Island will have been closed for 30 years by then

Sounds like they need to bump up prices a little.

Question: have you played the Island lately?

Man’s dogging on The Island. Which is doing fairly well right now since the reopen and it’s been in solid shape. Just curious as to whether or not y’all have played it since the shades being thrown.

I thought he was talking about U club.

Way too many golfers at U Club 20 years ago. Trying to get dues. U Club had promised years ago to build another 18 on the river side of Nicholson but they never could make it work.
