Any thoughts?
How do you keep the wheels from coming off?

Beer causes relaxation, but I walk so there are limits to how many I can drink.

Just forget about the bad hole. No different than a QB who throws a pic 6 or a pitcher who leaves one hanging and the batter knocks it out, you have to have a short term memory.

Penicillin
ETA: Real answer, line up driver, swing easy, bang it down the middle. His gives you nice solid shot and a chance at a birdie/tap in par

Get even more mad and swing as hard as you can.
Works for me.

Accept the things you can't change and move on.

IMO this is the most important skill in golf-forgetting a bad hole and realizing that every shot is another opportunity.

Open another white can and light a cig

You have to start at "0" on every hole. Good or bad. A birdie doesn't mean you will birdie the next hole. A triple doesn't mean you will triple the next hole.

For me, its easy. Forgetting a birdie is hard for me. I tend to press for another one and over swing. It never goes well.

Never any life changing money on it, so frick it. Next tee.

See ball, hit ball. Move on

I had a better attitude today.
Just played.
Thanks for the words.

Weed. Weed kills short term memory so it’s the easiest way.

I can tell you how to erase an eagle on the next hole.

Start with trying not to let a bad shot become a bad hole.
Play the shot in front of you.
If you do happen to let a hole get away from you, here's an idea: at the next tee pull out your favorite club and hit it, provided it won't severely hurt your chances on the hole.
Example, you just made 7 on the previous hole. You need a good shot to get your confidence back. If you get a short par 4 next, pull out a 5-iron or a hybrid and just get yourself in play. Better to have 150 or so to the hole from the short grass than to risk beating it out of the bushes for another double or triple.
The main thing is focus on fairways/greens.

Started triple double on the first two holes in the final round of a tournament once. Started to just take my bag and leave.
One of the side bets for everyone was skins though. So I thought screw it, just keep playing I might skull one in somewhere and get lucky.
I was even par after 6 holes and hasn't made a par or a birdie. Won 2 skins in an 80 or so man field.
Game gets easier if you can just relax and swing the club. Do it enough the body knows what to do.
Relaxing is the hard part.

Short-term memory
Don't hit bad shots.
Make a few more practice swings to loosen up. Tee it high, let it fly.

In Zen, being merely present is "the first satori".
Focus on the appearance of the course, your choice of club and how it feels in your hands, the weather, the way the grass smells.
