Biloxi Golf Courses
Posted by Johnnie10lb on 4/22/20 at 10:49 am10
Does anyone know if the courses are open around Biloxi. Also, which ones do you recommend?

Grand Bear isn’t bad
The Davis Love course is ok - I just can’t remember the name

The only one I've ever played was The Bridges. It wasn't in immaculate shape or anything a few months ago, but the layout is fun

You can maybe try windance. But, the casinos own most of the courses thus they are closed. Windance is a great course, but I think it just may be affiliated with the Island View, not owned.
Another one would be Shell Landing. I can’t remember if they are owned by a casino or not. It’s a neighborhood like Windance.
Fallen Oak is the best, but it’s $200 and you need to stay at the Beau.
The Preserve is always in great shape. I enjoy it out there.
Grand Bear would be next and it’s always in great shape.
I have also played Shell Landing and it’s fun along with Windance... which is on par if not a little better.
You still have The Oaks. Full of a bunch of old dudes that play only there.
The Bridges and several others.

From what I understand, all of the courses that are associated with casinos are closed. Not sure about the others.

Grand Bear is a terrific layout on a spectacular piece of property. I haven’t played recently, so I can’t speak to current condition.

Grand Bear should be in phenomenal shape when it opens back up.

It just wasn’t getting any love

I enjoy playing Shell Landing every time we are in Biloxi. Sometimes feel it doesn't get much love on this board.

I was drinking when I posted...
It’s a great course. Staff is subpar. We’ve played it a good bit the last couple of years.
Comparing it to the Preserve from an “overall” standpoint isn’t close. Course wise, I love it. Not the 20min curving drive into the pines...

Is Fallen Oak that good? Grand Bear is a phenomenal track, no way Preserve is better

Yes, fallen oak is that good. I would consider all three courses to be premium tracks and think grand bear or preserve are both great and a matter of personal preference or current conditions

Ive only played Preserve twice on consecutive days and I played terribly, so my opinion might be biased by that... It’s a really beautiful course, but I like Grand Bear better. I just remember losing a whole lot of golf balls at The Preserve.

Have you played The Preserve?

Yes, the front 9 had six or seven really top notch holes. The back isn’t as “blessed” but it’s really good too.
