Anyone have any info on who is taking over operations now that Ed has retired? Should we expect better conditions?

Jacob Dubois is the new director of golf. He was at LaTour for five years or so before the Chouest family closed it down. The course is in really good shape right now and getting better. Bunkers on the back nine are finished and the front nine should be finished in two weeks.

That's good to hear. I always thought it was a fun layout, not something you see at every other course. I'd like to see the place make it and stick around.

Ed was a great guy but eyeing retirement for the last few years, Jacob is good people and will put some spark into the place and have some good tournaments there and etc, he did Jr programs as well. I’ll go check it out soon as some guys I played with yesterday said it’s in a lot better shape than it has been in some time.

What about TPC?

TPC was in good shape, greens a little slow

Hope this is true, when I was living down in BR I really enjoyed road trips to play it. Cool layout and enjoyed the bayou golf with gators/wildlife around the course.

Playing TPC again tomorrow. Played it for Thanksgiving, and it was in great shape for winter months. Greens were true but a little slow that day. Weird not playing with the tree on 11. They said they'll have one back up for the Zurich.
I've always wanted to play Atchafalaya.

Come play Cane Row in New Iberia....course is absolutely in great condition ..greens are fantastic and they are starting to get the cart paths in good shape..for the money you can't beat Cane Row.

Went to Atchafalaya today. Yes it's getting better and the greens are good. But the tee boxes are not too good and looks like the markers have not been moved in weeks. Also the back nine bunkers are done but 2 of them already had grass growing thru. Fairwawys were ok. Glad I did a hot deal.

Also make sure you have a good cart, we had to replace twice.
