I was wondering if they are changes to it and thinking of trying it again.

Most lower compression balls feel like mush to me. But I think I should use them now.

I used it for a while. It had a good feeling, about the right amount of spin for me, but it simply flies too low.

I’m back to using the maxfli tour X

I played the Amazon prime ball last week and I liked it. I am a 13 handicap and they had a soft feel, no noticeable difference in distance, and very low roll on my approach shots. I was very satisfied for $1.60 per ball.

I had been looking a ball reviews before buying these and most of the people doing the reviews said unless you a low handicap player, there is little to no benefit buying the expensive tour balls.

I have been using the Chrome Tour and the TP5.

I hit everything very high, I wouldn't mind a ball that would lower the flight some. And I have no issue with spinning and stopping the ball.

I bought a dozen of the AVX yesterday, I will give them a go soon, if they are not the ball I want, I will go back to the chrome Tour.

Should give lower spin and lower flight. Might be perfect for you

I use it only on high wind days. Spin is typically too low so it doesn't get a high enough trajectory, but on high wind days, that's perfect. Low spin slices through the wind.

Is there another ball that I should consider ?

I have tried the following lately -

Maxfli Tour & X
Titleist Pro V's
ZStar
Chrome Tour & X

I have not tried a Bridgestone model in years.

How would the BX compare to the AVX ?

I know part of my ballflight is because I am tall with a big swing arc.

Thoughts ...

you'd want to try the Tour B RX or X depending on how much compression you want. X will be closer to a ProV1X. Make sure you get the latest 2026 model, they are so much hotter off the face than previous models which was the complaint.

I love the RX, it's almost as much compression as a ProV1 but way straighter. Straightest ball there is. Bridgestone dimple pattern makes them all pretty damn straight balls.

Its my main gamer, but I do switch to the AVX for high wind or sometimes I'll play a ProV1 if I'm in the mood.

I will try the RX model. I saw they have a America 250th logo ball which looks nice at PGA Superstore.

So I check this board like a dope fiend checks for crack rocks in the couch cushions.

I’m out due to injury. Shot 100 in day 90.

Would golf balls make any difference at all considering I’m new and best score is 100?

You might also try the new low spin model from Maxfli

I have not had it on a launch monitor or anything, but based on watching the Ball flight it really reduces spin. I tend to really like low spin balls, so I was very excited about this one, but results would indicate that it might be spinning too low for me.

Would not be a very expensive experiment

Most would say not really . But I have seen novice golfers that could spin the heck out of the ball.

To me golf balls are very subjective, I don't like a ball that is rock hard or too soft.

It's hard to find a ball that does everything perfect for your game.

I have said before that a guy in our group plays nothing but the 15pack of Pinnacle balls and he is a strong 6 hcp.

The 2 most perfect balls that I have ever play were the Titleist Professional and the original ProV1.

What do different balls do? I don’t get it honestly.
