This can't be overstated. Choosing Norman and FIGJAM as the faces of the upstart venture was a monumental mistake. The whole LIV effort has been a disorganized, inconsistent, low-rent clown show from the jump.
As you say, there is no viable financial model for LIV as it exists now, but five-plus years into the venture the Saudis have also completely failed to realize their other strategic objectives, which had nothing to do with golf. Leadership matters, and the Saudis chose poorly.

This has nothing to do with leadership.
Anyone with half a brain knew the numbers didn’t add up, but all we heard around here was “muh oil money, they have unlimited funds”
I don’t care how much money you have you can’t just light $500 million on fire year over year indefinitely.
The league was over as soon as they paid guys like Bryson and Rahm hundreds of millions of dollars. The next big name will want more than they got and the numbers just don’t add up when you don’t have a TV deal.

I think it’s obvious Rahm and Bryson and the like are done. They aren’t going to find money even close for those guys
LIv as we know is over and I think Jim will admit that. Pirate king who knows that he will accept
