I’ve had two on the same hole. #6 at Willowdale/Grand Ridge

But there’s a catch. First time I chunked my first shot into the water. Reteed and holed it for out for Par.

Second time, about 6 years later, same hole, with the exact same playing partners. Hit a SW just past the hole, bounced and bit and backed up into the hole. And it’s a good thing I holed it too because had I not it would’ve rolled off the front of the green. ?

Watched my dad hit a hole in one on this very hole. Only one I've ever seen in person. Best part is he struggles to break 100 usually

I’ve had 7.

They seem to come more often hitting knock down runners then trying to drop one on top of the hole. FYI.

I think you are correct. I think fast and firm greens give you a better chance to get lucky and the ball hit the hole at the correct speed.

I have actually seen 3 aces in person.

Mine - 125 yard knock down 9 iron.. rolled 10' into the hole.
Friend - 200 yard 4 iron.. rolled into the cup.
Stranger - 100 yard wedge that hopped once into the hole.

I hit one yesterday on #8 at UClub and I thought it had a chance in the air. Pin was 175 but I hit an 7 Iron because the greens were really firm and Ik I could clear the water. Couldn't see the ball land or roll so I thought I had one until it rolled past the pin up a hill, then down the hill and it was right on line looking real close. An exhilarating feeling just to miss the 2.5’ birdie putt down that slope lol

Hole 3 at Koasati Pines a few years ago. 147 yard 9 iron.

I would trade it for a round of even par 72 one time.

I have exactly one round of even par 72 and I will gladly accept your trade

Never had one. I've had one hit the flag stick and spin back into a bunker for a cool bogey. Also had a nasty slice bladed 7 iron drill the flag stick on no. 8 at LSU when I was first learning to play golf

Hole #15 at The Island in Plaquemine Louisiana. Scramble tournament for something. 333 yards the day we played. Group on the green went crazy. Another poster was in my group although I haven’t seen him post in quite awhile. Still my only hole in one. Sad to see the place closing.

This topic damn near brings a tear to my eye. I’ve played golf for 50 years and have never had a hole-in-one in my life. I have come closeA few times but never put the biscuit in the basket. As you can tell is a source of deep frustration which goes all the way down to my inner core. Hopefully the gods of golf will allow me to get a hole-in-one one darn friggin time.

I've had 4. 2 were on a par 3 course on holes that were like 60-90 yards so i don't count them officially, they were still hole in ones technically. Another was on 140 yard par 3 with a wedge and my dad totally shite on the moment. I saw it go in and he kept swearing that it went over the green until he convinced me I was wrong and we went up and spent 5 minutes looking for the ball over the green and I finally found it in the hole. Last one was a 190 yard par 3 with a 7 iron and was unwitnessed except the picture I took of the aftermath.

Hole-in-ones are dumb luck. Amazing story I heard was tiger woods talking about his hole in ones. said he has 20 but 19 of them came before 2000 or something. he played the best golf of a generation and didn't have one at all.

Never had one but came close a couple of times. One time it hung on the edge at Howell park #9 but I was by myself. Would that have counted?
Two times I had a hole in one in my group but the crazy thing about it, we never saw it go in. Spent a couple of minutes looking for the ball when we checked the hole and there it was. One was #17 at Webb and the other was #13 at Dumas.

Played for over 40 years and never had an ace. Came close (within 1 foot) probably 7 or 8 times.

I did have an albatross many years ago. I think I've read a stat that said an albatross is rarer than an ace.

One on #6 at Azalea City in Mobile using a 6 iron about 165 yards. Had been at a Mardi Gras ball until 4 am and hadn’t started drinking yet. Stopped at the turn and loaded the cooler.
Second was a PW on #8 from 130 yards at Point Mallard in Decatur, Al.

I'm pretty sure the words "motherfricker" and "son of a bitch" would have come out of my mouth if I hit a pin and the ball deflected into a bunker
