I am friends with a retired gentleman who is in his 70s.

He has one hole-in-one right handed.

After breaking his arm, he switched to playing left handed.

He has 6 holes-in-one left handed!

When I spoke with him last week, he had played golf 35 days in a row.

#3 Baton Rouge Country Club.

I was 12 years old. Playing from the member tees, I sucked a 9 iron back into the hole from 121 yards. I was much better as a 12 year old than I am in my 30s unfortunately.

I've played so much golf since then and never had another. Crazy.

ETA:

I've lipped out and hit the pin quite a few times. Never dropped. These days I'm hitting my 9-iron 155-160 so it is a different game.

Greystone #15 178 yards
Hit it during a scramble, but it wasn’t the closest to the pin hole.

I've had 10, and interestingly enough, 3 of the first 4 flew in the hole. But I agree with you, there's a lot better chance with a runner.
