If college football gets pushed to the spring and the nfl gets cancelled after two or so games (I don’t want it to happen, but I think it is likely) is anyone else excited for the opportunity to do a couple of weekend golf trips?

I’m thinking of making the trip to Old Waverly and Mossy Oak. Basically try to knock off all the top 100 courses within a day drive of New Orleans.

Top 100 courses within a day drive of NOLA shouldn't take too long.

Yes, our spring trip was canceled because of COVID and the marathon I was running in Oct was canceled so we're going that same weekend. We haven't made a decision on the location yet.

Worth it, we got a cottage at OW

10 of us did it in June and also played Dancing Rabbit & The Preserve.

Going to Boone, NC in mid October with the wife. Might get permission to bring the clubs.
Mountain golf is awesome.

That will be a great trip. We usually get a cottage and play Waverly all day on Saturday and Mossy Sunday. Mossy borders on being unbearably hot in summer, but perfect in October and November. Not courses are definitely worth the trip standing alone. Put them together a mile apart and it’s a terrific trip.

My cousin got married in Blowing Rock just south of Boone a few years ago. We actually stayed on a golf course.
