I’m supposed to play it in April.

Word of advice: Don’t wear bright colors or bumble bees will think you’re a flower and buzz you all fricking day.

I wore gold once out there and it was like being in a killer bee movie.

Quick update:

Course received 8" of rain last Thursday 4/4. Actually, 8 inches of rain from 11AM-4PM. Had a WAPT, women's all pro tour, event starting on 4/10..with a pro-am on 4/8.

Course was completely fricked. All the lakes were out, running through fairways, bunkers completely washed and full of mud, some were underwater even. Couldn't pass through the cart paths until Saturday morning, unless you were driving a truck.

Because my crew is awesome. We had the course back to playable by Monday for the ProAm.

The ladies event went off as planned.

Very exciting finish yesterday. 4 girls tied at +1. One had an eagle on 17 to take the lead at even, but bogeyed 18. Some Finnish chick ended up winning the playoff.

Bad news, I'm aerifying the greens on Monday and Tuesday.

Greens expected to be smooth by next weekend.

Go Tiger!

Yes they were and yes y’all are. I played the Monday round with the LLOWAPT. Course was in awesome shape considering the previous weather. Had a blast Monday. Well done to you and your crew.

Coincidentally I played with Linda Hinriksson and Matilda Castren. Linda won the tournament. Both ladies were a pleasure to play with.

Played it today

82

45 front
37 back

Greens were punched and fertilized within the past week. They will be real nice soon.

Fairways great
Tee boxes a little rough on a few holes

Overall more that worth the 36.00 to play it. Best deal in golf.

16 is a hard eagle. I made it on in 2 for the first time the other day from 215 and still only pared it.

42 front
36 back

Sand on the greens but playable
GPS had a few hole locations wrong
Gnats were bad on the front 9 but went away once the wind picked up
Sand traps were unplayable due to the rain but the fairways were nice.
Very enjoyable round except for a triple bogey on 5 of all holes.

Bunkers...unplayable

Any plans to restore/renovate some bunkers? There’s a few that seem to be in bad shape constantly. Are you guys condemning the bunker against the bulkhead between 9/&18 green?

It's item #1 in my 5 year plan.

My plan is to renovate this one specifically for the purpose to showcase what real bunkers should be. Plus it's visible from the clubhouse.

Overall, the persons before me were exceptionally lazy with the bunker maintenance. There's a layering effect of sand, clay, sand, clay. Absolutely no infiltration when there's rain, hell even light irrigation during the nights will puddle up some bunkers.

The only really terrible ones currently are the pot bunker by #13 green and one of the pot bunkers on 14 Fairway.

Minus the weeds and whatnot, but that's just ongoing spraying to eliminate.

The course is great. A few things I notice is that on #2 there is too much shade on the green and I think it messes it up. Same with the tips tee box on 6 and I think it's been abandoned as of now. 13 bunker was like a hot tub.

Most definitely. Plus the shape of that green is ridiculous to begin with. The entire back left portion is going bye bye.

This is more manageable.

There's quite a few pot bunkers that I want to eliminate. Don't understand the reasoning for so many on the course. I'm toying with the idea of making them true pot bunkers. Forget pushing the sand up the faces, only have sand at the bottom, flat area. Think English pot bunkers but without stacked sod, use a spray liner to help eradicate any wash from the high lips during heavy rain events. We will see.

7 is a drained swimming pool but I like it for some reason
Whoever keeps putting the pin behind the bunker on 2 can die in a fire. That slope coming off that bunker makes it impossible to stop a ball.
