I do it with the driver, helps release it.
Takes some time to get used to and to trust on the course.
Jim Furyk does it.
But I also have standard grips on woods and long irons and midsized on everything else for the same reason.

I don’t think grip style equates to swing speed but I’m not a numbers/Trackman guy.
